[Pharo-project] Inspect it wrong shortcut

Hi! With latest pharo 304 in Linux the shortcut for inspect it (ctrl + i) doesn't work but alt + i. I have evaluated Preferences enable: #swapCOntrolAndAltKeys. Actually, all the other shortcuts (browse it, do it, explore it, and so on) works with ctrl + XXX but there is a problem with inspect it. Can someone confirm this ? Cheers, Mariano

Hello: I just try to get started with Pharo to experiment with some benchmarks and would be grateful for some basic hints, since the documentation on pharo-project.org is not to excessive. As far as I read in the documentation of the language shootout[1], I will need the OSProcess package. How can I load this package into the image downloaded from p-p.org? My second problem is to execute code from the command line. I tried a simple example file $ cat test.sq Transcript open; cr; show: 'Hello, world'. $ Squeak\ 4.2.1beta1U.app/Contents/MacOS/Squeak\ VM\ Opt pharo1.0-10418-BETAdev09.08.3.image test.sq But this only leads to a debugger popping up in installSourceFile saying "No content to install". Looks like aStream is nil which should have the data loaded from file:test.sq Any pointers to documentation which might discusses command line related features are very welcome. I actually just need a way to choose a benchmark to be executed from the commandline. The actual code could already be in the image. i published the CLFramework package http://www.squeaksource.com/CLFramework.html Is totally alpha version, not valid for serious apps.The set of widgets of Polymoprh adapteds to designer is limited, and donÂ´t works with normal mechanism as MorphicModel, else with events. IÂ´m continue working in it, but I have arrived at crossroads, where i think is best create my own set of widgets, from zero, or perhaps be more ambitious and try use 3d... i dont know; my knowledges is limited. Stef, Re Dolphin, class categories have long been of marginal use; I'll speak for myself on that but suspect others would agree. Packages are of course extremely useful. Method categories are also quite useful, and Dolphin allows multiple categories to be assigned to a given method. Dolphin mixes virtual categories (computed by rules) with static ones maintained by the user (and serialized as part of packages). I can easily see where OB would get quite a speed boost out of it. The porting continues... It is getting closer to doing something. It just raised an ODBCWarning about the server changing the language to us_english. Any ideas? Either I do not care or should set it up front?? One thing really surprised me, and note that I might have brought this on myself (though I think that is unlikely) by messing with startup and shutdown: the ODBCLibrary was stubbornly clinging to the Linux library from my home machine. I finally used ODBCLibrary default initialize. which seemed to put an end to the separation anxiety. Is there a better fix? I suppose I should try this in a clean image to see if there is really a problem therein, but that will be a little hard to do without a lot of my code, almost any of which either depends on changes I have made or could have caused the problem. Maybe I should ask whether some of you use ODBC on Windows and Linux and have no problems moving between the machines. Bill

Hi! I opened this ticket: http://code.google.com/p/pharo/issues/detail?id=1076 This happens when using the OB Package Browser. I am using 10414. To reproduce: 1) Browse any Trait, for example TBehaviorCategorization 2) Select a method, right button, pretty print 3) You will get a Trait DNU #formatterClass The fix is easy: Crate in Trait a instance side method: formatterClass ^self class formatterClass The thing is that I don't know in which package should this be commited. Hi folks: Several times, I wanted to send by email for example, the results of running some tests. The only and ugly way I found to do this is using PrintScreen and send the screenshots. Now, the question is, is there a way to file out the results? Not only the amount (the number) of success, failures, error, expected failures, but also which tests where the failures, errors, etc. I would love to do this from the Test Runner, no by code. Hallo, I'm porting a Squeak-Project to Pharo and I really need the "Accujen" StrikeFont with size 9. I know: those bitmap fonts look worse than the great FreeType fonts. But for my special case I need a very small/narrow but still readable font and there's nothing better than Accujen. So my question is, if it's possible to get the Accujen into Pharo. The StrikeFont class still exists but it seams like all fonts but DejaVu are missing now. Thanks for any help, if possible! Jochen
