VoyageMongo not working in Pharo 6?

I just had a quick tryout of VoyageMongo in Pharo 6 and VOMongoRepository>>save:anObject fails because UUIDGenerator does not have the method makeSeed. UUIDGenerator >> makeSeed was present in pharo 5. It's not there in pharo 6. Peristence with SandStone or Voyage -> Bypassing the saving of a variable.

So, I tried using mongo voyage for persistence of my Models, and when trying to the SsStateMachine, Mongo Voyager had problems figuring out what to do with my state machine..Â So, it occurred to me.. the state machine really does nothing but guide the order through its journey. By the time the order is complete, the state machine is irrelevant.. and there is no chance that the state machine will ever be relevant..Â So, my question is..Â Is there any way to mark a variable (like statemachine) as âdo not persistâ?Â This would solve all my problems.. Is there a 64bit minimal image for either 6.0 or 7.0?

Hi - I would like to try a minimal image on AWS lambda (so I need a 64 bit version). Is there a 64bit image for either 6.0 or 7.0 that is easy to download? I can see - http://get.pharo.org/60-minimal <http://get.pharo.org/60-minimal> but it doesnât say its 64 bit, so I assume its 32bit? Tim

Using SandstoneDB for persistance. Getting error.

Hi, all.. I am finally ready to work on the persistence end of my project. I am having a little bit of an issue, though.. I have very simple set of models: Customers Orders LineItems more.. The Customer has a variable called âordersâ which is just an OrderedCollection of Orders. The trick is, this is an SMS bot, so the order has a StateMachine (SsStateMachine) that, after it receives an SMS.. it processes it, and moves (or doesnât) along in state. the problem I have is, when I save the customer, I need to save the orders first (I got an error stating this). When I try to save the order, I get the following error: Â 'An ActiveRecord can not reference any sub instances of instruction stream. Â Make sure you are not saving blocks. â This looks like itâs happening at the point where it is trying to save the StateMachine.. Here is the full error.. 2 questions around gitlab, gitfiletree, BaselineOf

Hi, we have our own gitlab running now and I succeeded to move our code from sthub to it. I can push my new code into it from Pharo. All fine. I also created a Baseline (based on my former configurationOf). Loading the code from others (e.g. seaside) with this baseline is also fine. There are 2 Points where I am sure it could be better (it is worse) 1) For loading my own code, I currently have a bad solution It is in the postLoadBaseline and does this: | gitRepository | gitRepository := MCFileTreeRepository new directory: '/Applications/Pharo5.0-7.app/Contents/Resources/spf-gitlab/repository' asFileReference. {'RKA24-Model' . Problems with PunQLite

Hello I have decided to have another try with PunQLite, having failed to get it working before. For the record, I am using Windows 10 Home with all recent updates applied. I tried the following: 1. Download latest image of Moose 6.1 (Pharo 6.0 Latest update: #60507). 2. Search Catalog Browser for PunQLite, which is flagged as OK for Pharo 6.0, and select 'Install stable version'. 3. Check that the file unqlite.dll has been installed in the same folder as the image. 4. Run tests in PqDatabaseTests. 30 tests run, all red. 5. Try to run some tests manually. Enter 'PqDatabase openOnMemory' and 'doIt'. Result: 'Error: External module not found'. Looking at the Monticello Browser, I see that my image has ConfigurationOfPunQLite(TorstenBergmann.29) and PunQLite-Core(TorstenBergmann.28). This is the version chosen as stable by the Catalog Browser. Have I in fact got the right version? Do I have to do something with the .dll to make it visible to the .ffi call? Any suggestions gratefully received. Peter Kenny

To manage the complexity, we require generic solutions that can be adapted to specific application domains or use cases, making metaprogramming an important topic of research once more. However, the challenges with metaprogramming are still manifold. They start with fundamental issues such as typing of reflective programs, continue with practical concerns such as performance and tooling, and reach into the empirical field to understand how metaprogramming is used and how it affects software maintainability. Thus, while industry accepted metaprogramming on a wide scale with Ruby, Scala, JavaScript and others, academia still needs to answer a wide range of questions to bring it to the same level of convenience, tooling, and programming styles to cope with the increasing complexity of software systems. Seasidehosting...

Hi, I'm running a private website at seasidehosting. Obviously this free service is not available anymore because both the site as well as the seasidehosting page are not reachable. I've tried to get information about the current staus of seasidehosting via google but couldn't find anything. Does anybody knows more? Many thanks in advance and best wishes Carl
