Hi Everyone, As far as I can tell, JPEGReadWriter in Pharo 7 doesn't read (or write) the image metadata, e.g. title, keywords, exposure time, etc. Is anyone aware of a package that does? Thanks! Alistair

Craig Latta - Livecoding Language Models: AI Context in Live Environments - 26 March 2025

For our March meeting, Craig Latta will show how to leverage AI language models in a livecoding environment. Using a tool creates context for complimentary tools. For example, selecting an object in a Smalltalk inspector creates useful context for browsing the class of that object. This is a potent idea in an integrated development environment, where multiple tools operate on related information. The extensive context in a live environment enables powerful collaboration with contemporary AI language models. Tools built from that collaboration could greatly augment human capability. Craig Latta ( https://thiscontext.com/author/ccrraaiigg/ ) will show some foundations for them, and suggest ways of easing their construction through the systematic description of existing tool functionality. Craig Latta is a research computer scientist in Berkeley and Amsterdam, with interests including livecoding, music performance, and interactive visualization. Updating a Form after changing pixel values

I have a Form where I change pixel colours using Form>>pixelValueAt:put:. The Form exists inside an SpImagePresenter. After having changed the pixels, I want to redraw the Form in an #updatePresenters method to show the changes, but I haven't been able to figure out how to do this. If I inspect the Form it is clear that the pixels have been changed, so the problem is in the #updatePresenters mwthod. I have tried different variations on this theme without success: updatePresenter | canvas | "Get the canvas of the Form:" canvas := imagePresenter image form getCanvas. adapter widget drawSubmorphsOn: canvas Any suggestions would be very welcome. Converting global coordinates from a mouse event

I have a presenter that is a subclass of SpPresenterWithModel and it contains, among other things, an ImagePresenter with an autoscaling image (a Form). I want to capture mouse clicks on the image and get the coordinate of the click relative to the upper left corner of the Form. My #initializePresenter method looks like this: initializePresenter image := self newImage image: self emptyImage; autoScale: true. image eventHandler whenMouseDownDo: [ :event | self handleMouseDown: event]. This works, and the #handleMouseDown: method is run whenever the mouse is pressed on the ImagePresenter, but the MouseButtonEvent reports global coordinates and I can't find out how to convert these to coordinates relative to the Form that the ImagePresenter holds. I have googled and found answers to similar old questions, but nothing that seems to apply to Spec2. There must be a very simple solution to this, it's just that I can't seem to find it.
