Applications are invited for PhD candidates at the Software Composition Group, University of Bern, Switzerland, to contribute to the SNSF project "Agile Software Assessment". The Software Composition Group carries out research in software analysis and programming language design and implementation, with a view to enabling software evolution. The SCG is led by Prof. Oscar Nierstrasz and is part of the Institute of Computer Science and Applied Mathematics (IAM) at the University of Berne. 20320 ----- Issue 6757: Nuke HTTPClient and HTTPSocket and deprecated ZnHTTPSocketFacade http://code.google.com/p/pharo/issues/detail?id=6757 Remove HTTPClient completely. Remove all methods from HTTPSocket, instance and class side, as well as all instance and class variables. Keep the methods on the class side delegating to ZnHTTPSocketFacade as they constitute a working API that might be used by legacy code. Deprecate all class side methods on HTTPSocket that were delegating to ZnHTTPSocketFacade, as defined by the special Zinc-Patch-HTTPSocket package. Today I was working with a student in my office, guess on what, code profiling, you're right :-). A professor entered my room and asked me about the name of the presenter who gave a wonderful talk about how to give talks. I immediately though about Doru's esug presentation, but I said nothing since I cannot make a connection between this professor and Doru. I started to think about some previous professors we invited at the department or something. The student immediately said "Tudor Girba!". The professor replied with "yes!!! He is the guy!" before saying "Muy buena la presentaciÃ³n!" and immediately leaving my office. I am still stunned.
