Hi Dale, again I typically use my MetaSource application to see if one can bootstrap a full seaside app in Pharo using Metacello: -------------------------------------------------------------------------- Gofer new squeaksource: 'MetaSource'; package: 'ConfigurationOfMetaSource'; load. ((Smalltalk at: #ConfigurationOfMetaSource) project version: '1.4') load -------------------------------------------------------------------------- Works well in "Pharo 1.1." but not in "PharoCore 1.2": In Pharo 1.2 some methods are deprecated and Seaside 3.0 still uses ConfigurationOfKomHttpServer 1.3 instead of the newer 1.5. So the question is: is it planned to use the newer KomHttpServer packages in the near future for Seaside 3.0 so I can switch to Pharo 1.2 early? [Pharo-project] UUID and Cog?

Hi Does anybody know whether UUIDs are supposed to work on Cog on Linux? I got the latest prebuilt Cog from [1] and UUID new crashes my VM with a seg fault on a Monticello commit. But I forgot the external webBrowser stuff. The nice thing is: we can put things back, easily. I think it's better to remove and put back than to never change anything because someone might need it. [Pharo-project] Cmd-t in OB?

hi! When I press cmd-t in an ob browser in the class category pane, I get a window titled "Selected Command". I would expect executing the test of the class category. I tried to find out where the "Selected Command" command is defined with: OBCommand allSubclasses select: [:c | c new keystroke = $t ] => an OrderedCollection(OBCmdRunTests) But apparently only running the test is associated to Cmd-t. Isn't that convenient to be able to run the test from a class category? Since the app itself is in it's current state not very usefull there are no tests as you may expect to test the app itself (beside a few unit tests) Mainly I test if it is possible to load the whole stuff using Monticello: - seaside in its current version - external webbrowser/ffi - the jquerywidgtbox project on the recent Pharo version and then see if it is possible to: - start and open the app in the browser directly from the image (=> FFI and external browser are working) - have it started as a seaside root (=> if something is displayed) - click around Mostly this is enough to see if something is badly broken. So yes, currently it is more a manual test and more oriented towards if Metacello configs fit together. For instance yesterday in Pharo 1.2 the WebBrowser class was deleted and therefore the whole bootstrap process was broken since MetaSource was not loadable via configuration (see the discussion on the pharo list) My idea is to have a simple web app that demonstrates how one can setup various pieces (seaside, jqeurywidgets, metacello, ...) and that is simply installable by a small gofer script.
