[Pharo-project] Status of Alien FFI

I'm unable to load Alien-Core into the latest Pharo (I'm on 10451), mostly because the package overrides some methods in Scanner/Parser and those overrides are out of sync with the current Pharo base. Is anyone working on bringing these into sync? I would be glad to take a stab at it but I'm hardly the best qualified person to do that. [Pharo-project] Is there a way to use rename refactor while preserving whitespace formatting in refactored methods?

Hi, I am using Pharo with the default browser, which is the OmniBrowser. When I right-click on a message name in the right-most panel and choose "rename refactor" from the menu, enter the new name and accept, the message sends are renamed, but the whitespace formatting in those refactored methods is not preserved. Is there any way at present to do this while keeping the formatting intact?

Hi all I did not integrate some pending changes because I would like to give priority to the closure fixes. Now I do not have the time to really look at them and I'm not expert in the changes made. So if someone wants to help this is the time. We will have in 3 weeks the pharo sprint and I think that this is not a great time to do that. I will be busy again this week with my day job and no time for pharo this week. Sorry. Stef

Hello, Expect is a librarie/tools in perl or Tcl that is aim to control a process. You could send command on the stdin and wait for answer on stdout, then react on this event (thant why it is call 'expect'). Uselfull for executable tests, or control an automatic telnet session ... I know OSProcess to launch executable and play with stdin/stdout but it's not exactly what do Expect. If you look closely, in Color>>initializeNames we find: self named: #pureWhite put: (Color r: 1.0 g: 1.0 b: 1.0). ... in Color>>initializeNBSISCCNames3 find: Color named: #White put: (Color fromString: '#F2F3F4'). Similarly for pureBlack and black. To summerize, in Color>>initializeNames, the original white and black color values are renamed to pureWhite and pureBlack. The other values of Color>>initializeNames were left as is and the new NBS-ISCC color names then added. I believe that white and black were the only name collisions. Sorry, I should have added this to the release notes. -KenD
