It's backward compatible to images long ago, for example when I do my final bytecode/second speed test, did I break anything smoke test before shipping, I do that with a squeak 3.0 Feb 4th 2001 image. As for loading the closure changes, well the Pharo folks are busy working on and supporting a Pharo Closure image http://gforge.inria.fr/frs/?group_id=1299 For the squeak stuff, a 3.11 http://ftp.squeak.org/3.11/ I don't think it's as simple as going to squeakssource and doing a load. Hi, one can easily use Installer to script builds like this: |installer| installer := Smalltalk at: #Installer ifAbsent: [ScriptLoader new installingInstaller]. installer ss project: 'Foo'; install: 'Bar' So package Bar.mcz is loaded from the "Foo" project on Squeaksource (ss). But when I try to access a secure ("No access") squeaksource project "Foo" I will get: "Package: Bar not found in repository:" How can I specify my credentials so installer is able to access the monticello files in a non-public squeaksource project? Hi Folks, Are there plans to integrate Monticello 2 into Pharo? (I could not find an issue in the Pharo issues database.) I understand from Lukas that most of the bootstrapping issues have been resolved. Is anyone on this topic? Is there a good reason to stick with the old MC? Cheers, - on

Hi guys, I am using the latest Mac VM and when I hit cmd-c (Copy) I get a "primitive has failed" error. In both images, with and without closures. I know there are more mac users out there, are you experiencing something similar? Cheers r

Two test in FontTest assumes what TextStyle>>default will answer a some Accuny font with some size. But if we override default font - test will fail. I'll try to find solution and fix, but new vm and image crashed during debuging. I think solution will be to create corresponding TextStyle for test. Also i'm a newbie and can some clarify what is DefaultTextStyle? It not declared as instance or class variable.

[Pharo-project] Mac VM Clipboard Problem

I somehow have the feeling that this problem has been reported before ... The Mac VM linked from <http://www.pharo-project.org/download> opens a debugger saying "Error: a primitive has failed" whenever I try to copy or paste something. Is it everybody or just me? Hi Stef, if you integrate my latest change for ScriptLoader (see pharo inbox ScriptLoader-...804.mcz) into the update stream there will be a ScriptLoader loadFFI method always loading the latest FFI. Until Alien/Alien FFI merge is ready there should at least be an easy way to load and use FFI. (loading is not enough, one needs to initialize ExternalType and compileAllFields in ExternalStructure).
