Create maps from an SVG file in Roassal

Hi there, I'm trying to import an SVG file describing the provinces of Belgium in Roassal. I've cleaned an SVG file found on wikipedia and trying to import it. I'm trying to imitate the way it is done with Countries. Which does not display anything. I suspect the problem lies in the coordinates of my paths. Is there a README somehwere or the original file that was used to generate the world map of the examples? Hi, shouldn't there be Announcements chapter in the new PharoByExampleUpdated book? Because I don't see it there and I think it should be there, since currently I don't see any authoritative source of information for people about Announcements. Thanks, Peter

Fuel Error

While materializing, I'm getting a Fuel error that's ground one of my projects to a halt. handling exceptions in jniport

Hi Joachim, As I mentioned in a previous post, all Pharo Exceptions are swallowed during a dispatch from Java. This means that during a callback from Java to Pharo, you also cannot debug. >From the looks of things, I see the issue is here: JavaCallbackRegistry>>safeDispatch: aRequest to: a2Block "private -- invoke the handler for aRequest in an environment that will ensure that some sort of response is always sent back to the requester. This is *vital* since otherwise we will almost certainly deadlock ourselves" [ [[self dispatch: aRequest to: a2Block] on: JavaException do: [:err | aRequest notifyError: err]] on: JNIPortUtility exceptionsWithoutNotifications do: [:err | aRequest notifyIgnored: 'The Smalltalk handler threw a non-Java exception (', err printString , ')'] ] ifCurtailed: [aRequest notifyIgnored: 'The Smalltalk handler did not complete normally']. Is there no way to allow for some debugging? At the very least, I would like to suggest to log the exceptions with continuations using Beacon to allow for postmortem debugging. What do you think? Sharing Inter-image Data

When using any tool that exposes objects outside the image - Seaside, Amber, rST - how does one guard against simultaneous edits? Up until now, I've been perfectly content with single images and read-only web apps, but now that I'm considering some stateful web apps/services, I can't remember ever seeing locking addressed. As I said, don't access url parameters by index, only by name. I am sure Teapot offers methods for that, in the most basic case it gives you a Dictionary or parameters, but most likely some wrapper that provides a Dictionary-esque access methods. Maybe this bit is a starting point (found here https://ci.inria.fr/pharo-contribution/job/EnterprisePharoBook/lastSuccessf…) 3.1. Parameters in URLs The URL pattern may contain named parameters (e.g., |<user>| above), whose values are accessible via the request object. The request is an extension of |ZnRequest| with some extra methods. Query parameters and Form parameters can be accessed the same way as path parameters |(req at: #paramName)|. Teapot can perform conversions of parameters to a number, for example as follows: |Teapot on GET: '/user/<id:IsInteger>' -> [ :req | users findById: (req at: #id)]; output: #ston; start.| But hey, now I see why you wanted to use Regex: Chapter 3.2 introduces them.... So what can you do if you want to use the reqex stuff? I'd start by adding a Breakpoint into the handler block and inspect the req object that gets passed in. Maybe somethins is wrong about your regex (I am far from being an expert on Regular Expressions) and Teapot is not doing any harm. Marcus, I have no answers to your questions, but it seems like you expect the URL parameters in a specified order. I am nat sure this is a good idea at all. So independent on why the order of the parameters is changed and by whom: you shouldn't rely on it. Sure, this doesn't really help to understand or fix the problem at hand. But there should be no problem if you handled parameters by name rather than their order. Are you sure the order of parameters is changed by Teapot? Teapot and Regex

Dear Smalltalkers (Pharonistas?), while trying out teapot in Pharo4, I encountered the following: I have made a plain HTML form which sends data to a teapot URL. Here is what the browser is sending: http://localhost:1701/bac/?a=88&r=0.7&kg=77 To answer this request via teapot, I wrote the following: ... GET:'\/bac\/\?a=(\d*)&r=(\d*.\d*)&kg=(\d*)' asRegex -> [:req | BloodAlcoholCalculator a:(req at:1) r:(req at:2) kg:(req at:3) ]; ... But the answer in the Browser looks like: Not Found /bac/?r=0.7&a=88&kg=77 I tested the regular expression via 'matchesRegex' and it returned 'true'. The funny thing is, that teapot changes the order of the values in the answer (r and a are switched). If I leave out the '\?' and use the resulting URL manually, teapot delivers the expected behaviour. What could be the reason for this issue and where should I search to understand it (System Browser)? Glamour Magritte Example Broken

Hi all I've just tried to use GLMAnnouncingCollection and found something odd. When you use it and its passed into a block (such as TableColumn computation:) it passes in the whole collection, not each item. Change the collection to OrderedCollection and it works as expected (except you lose the behaviour of GLMAnnouncingCollection). So, to find out how this is used I go to the examples provided, specifically "Magritte presentation". This has the following comment: "self new magritte openOn: GLMMagrittePersonExample sampleData" "GLMMagrittePersonExample sampleReset" "note, sampleData is *aGLMAnnouncingCollection*" This does not work as expected (or indeed how it used to). I've looked at this before and done work with Magritte using this example with Diego Lont and Stephan Eggermont. Its definitely become broken since the last time I looked at it. Can we confirm?
