Hello, I am announcing the release of StNER. StNER provides a Pharo Smalltalk interface to the Stanford Named Entity Recognizer (NER). Filetree repository from string error

Hello I use Windows 7 with Pharo 4 (latest image and VM) and I have our project in filetree on disc, repository is not yet created in monticello. When I run following code in playground, which should create and load it, I get error ZnPortNotANumber Metacello new baseline: 'OurProject'; repository: 'filetree://C:\Users\User\Pharo\ourproject\repository'; load. [ANN] GADM: Access to Global Administrative Areas in Pharo

I am pleased to announce the release of the GADM package for Pharo Smalltalk. GADM is a high-resolution spatial database of the location of the world's administrative areas for use in Geographical Information Systems (GIS) and similar software. The following post contains details about the release: If anyone wish to extend it with the polygon data included in GADM, please feel free to request repository permission to upload changes. Roassal question

Hi, i have a little problem, where i think roassal could perhaps be helpfull, but i have to admit this is the very first time i looked into roassal, hence i have a stupid question: i have a collection of something like rectangles, lets say: coll:=Array with: (Rectangle origin: 500@500 corner: 510@520) with: (Rectangle origin: 505@504 corner: 511@522). now i want to produce a graph that shows these rectangles together with the x & y axis that show their positions (in a sensible way). any simple hints how i could go about this task? werner

Conditional CSV parsing

I used to use a CSV parser from Squeak where I could attach conditional iterations: csvParser rowsSkipFirst: 2 do: [: row | " some action ignoring first 2 fields on each row " ]. csvParser rowsSkipLast: 2 do: [: row | " some action ignoring last 2 fields on each row " ]. csvParser rowsWhere: [ " a condition block " ] do: [ : row | " ... " ]. csvParser rowsUpTo: 500000 do: [ " some action for rows up to 500000 " ]. csvParser rowsFrom: 2000 to: 5000 do: [ " some action for rows between 2000 to 5000 " ]. I want to replace the parser with NeoCSVReader, is this easily possible with the current implementation? Cheers, HernÃ¡n
