[Pharo-project] Copying image+changes between Windows and Linux

Hello all, Are any of you using both Linux and Windows? Is it just me, or does button swapping get weird when bouncing between the two? I'm not sure if the behavior is random, or if there is a pattern to it. So far, it just seems to work as I expect sometimes, and not others, and I _think_ changing OS is a trigger for it. Bill

I am trying to take an image off the new and save it to a file. This is what I have so far: (FileStream newFileNamed: 'test.jpg') nextPutAll: ('http://freetalklive.com/images/amondson.jpg' asUrl retrieveContents) getContentFromStream; close The image exists, is found, and the file is written. [Pharo-project] Another field to use Pharo?

Pharo looks promising (and it is already) for web developing. But, there was no light in the desktop applications. However, a couple of different posts make me thing that perhaps I was wrong. 1) We know removing Morph and replace it with native OS rendering or delegating to an external library can be complicated to be supported in all OS and it will probably require a lot of work. Someone (I cannot find the mail) propose a little VM change that let the image to open MORE than 1 native OS windows. Right now, only one is open. Ok, they will be rendered using Morph, but there can be several :) 2) Someone (I don't remember who) created a w2k theme so that our morphs looks like windows applications (I really don't like it but final users do hahaha) 3) NullPointer said in the mailing list he is doing a GUI builder for Pharo. Does anybody use these two classes? Are they worth being kept in the core (there are no users in the core)? Class comment: A version history is a collection of VersionNumbers that together form a tree of versions. I enforce rules about how versions are added and removed from the history. [Pharo-project] KnownLands: a Class dependency explorer

Hey Pharoers, I've been working on a little project for the past couple days, and now that I have something of a tangible result, I'm going to share the first screen grab. What I've been working on is a visualization tool for analyzing the relationships between Classes and the contents of their CompiledMethods. In the attached screen shot, the TPureBehavior circle in the middle is the root node, and all of the radial nodes are Classes referred to by the CompiledMethods associated with TPureBehavior. Each of these classes is bound to a literal in one of the CompiledMethods. The radius of the circle is directly proportional to the number of methods that Class has. IdentitySet has 2 compiled methods for example, whereas ChangeSet has 124 methods. Once I get collapsing working, and add some trace lines (so that when you've expanded and expanded and expanded it is obvious who is connected to who), I'll post this code somewhere.
