[Pharo-project] on PluggableTreeMorph changeSelected selector
by laurent laffont March 18, 2010

March 18, 2010

Hi, I have aTreeMorph := PluggableTreeMorph on: self list: #items selected: #selectedItem changeSelected: #onItemClick:. MyClass>>selectedItem ^ myCollection collect:[:item | PluggableListItemWrapper with: item] When a item is selected, PluggableTreeMorph passes the wrapped item to #onItemClick: Shouldn't it be more consistent to have the instance of PluggableListItemWrapper passed instead ? [Pharo-project] classNameCache/classNames problem
by Pavel Krivanek March 18, 2010

March 18, 2010

Hi, I tried to run tests in Pharo 1.1 #11275 and then I got an error when trying to open Message Names. The reason is that if you evaluate Smalltalk classNames includes: #C1 you got true so Smalltalk classNames includes it however it is not present in Smalltalk globals. After Smalltalk flushClassNameCache the problem disapeared. If I tried to create a class named SomeClass, the result was: Smalltalk classNames includes: #SomeClass -> false Smalltalk globals at: #SomeClass -> SomeClass I had to remove Object>>#initialExtent because of neverending deperecation warning (a methods tries respondsTo: #initialExtent on a model. I don't know which one because Recent Submissions doesn't work because of method reference AutoGeneratedClassForTestingSystemChanges>>#Comment anwered nil on actualClass message) -- Pavel

[Pharo-project] stupid question with "method source with it"
by Mariano Martinez Peck March 18, 2010

March 18, 2010

Hi. I want to search something trough right button -> extended search -> "method source with it" I want to search with case sensitive. The help says "use shift for case-sensitive". However, I don't understand what that means. The shift is the shift key ? in true, in which moment do I have to press the shift key ? Thanks Mariano

[Pharo-project] Understanding the ScrollPanel widget
by nullPointer March 18, 2010

March 18, 2010

Well, I´m continue developing the grid widget. Now i need when a tab key is pressed relocate the scrollbars to position of cell ( only if the cell is not visible in begin ). I don´t know like that. I try aScrollPanel vScrollBarValue: ( cellBounds origin y / aScrollPanel scroller height) asFloat. but that don´t works always. When the current row is in the first rows or last rows the scroll dont works good. Exists a way for define a "unit" of scroll? I understand than in my case is the height of my cells. [Pharo-project] Faster Sets and Pharo 1.1?
by Ralph Boland March 18, 2010

March 18, 2010

When I released my FasterSets package it was too late for consideration for Pharo 1.0 so it was stated that it would be reconsidered for Pharo 1.1. Of course, since my release, Levente has rewritten my version of FasterSets from scratch and also made many other changes to Sets. So I am wondering what the status of FasterSets is with respect to Pharo 1.1: a) FasterSets is not wanted in Pharo. b) You will use my version of FasterSets in Pharo 1.1. c) You will use Levente's version of FasterSets and perhaps his many other changes to Sets/Dictionaries in Pharo 1.1. Regards, Ralph Boland
