[Pharo-project] Issue 3693 in pharo: probable cause of 0 length mcz files in package-cache
by pharo＠googlecode.com Feb. 10, 2011

Feb. 10, 2011

Status: Accepted Owner: ---- Labels: Type-ReportDefect Importance-Low New issue 3693 by da...@teleport.com: probable cause of 0 length mcz files in package-cache http://code.google.com/p/pharo/issues/detail?id=3693 I was loading Seaside3.0 into Pharo1.2rc2-12324 and ran into a 'Error: file is too short' error. This is an error that I've seen before, but didn't have an idea how the "too short" file was created. This was a fresh install of Pharo and the error occurred when I tried doing the load a second time ... I had interrupted the load the first time with an ALT-. So I assume that the zero length file was created because I had interrupted Monticello while it was creating the copy in the package-cache ... which leads me to believe that an ensure block could be placed in the right spot to watch for interrupts and delete the file if the creation operation wasn't completed normally ... I haven't found the spot in the code, so this is supposition on my part, but I think it is a good supposition:)

[Pharo-project] Issue 3401 in pharo: Comparison of Urls is not possible yet

I also made a test for urls. if yes, is the following proposition enough ? or should it be more precise according to each subclass ? See you 'http://www.pharo-project.org' asUrl = 'http://www.pharo-project.org' asUrl. => false What about having: Url>> = anotherUrl ^self asText = anotherUrl asText Paste or attach stack trace if applicable (look at the file PharoDebug.log located in the same directory as your image): Attachments: Url-comparing.st 414 bytes UrlTest-testUrlComparison.st 733 bytes

[Pharo-project] Issue 3660 in pharo: Revert incorrect Monticello branch naming support
by pharo＠googlecode.com Feb. 10, 2011

Feb. 10, 2011

Status: New Owner: ---- New issue 3660 by jfitz...@gmail.com: Revert incorrect Monticello branch naming support http://code.google.com/p/pharo/issues/detail?id=3660 After recent discussion with Dale Henrichs (see http://lists.squeakfoundation.org/pipermail/seaside-dev/2011-February/00455… ) I realize that my fix in Issue 281 was not correct. Actually, I'm not even sure whether the bug report was valid to begin with. The correct MC branch naming convention should be: <hyphenated-package-name>.<dotted.branch.tag>-<initials>.<count>.mcz and it appears the tools are currently largely supporting this. The *incorrect* convention pushed in by Issue 281 was: <hyphenated-package-name>-<initials>.<dotted.branch.tag>.<count>.mcz I don't know if the incorrect convention has become widely adopted, but it would reduce future confusion if we can back out the Issue 281 "fix".

It has two parts, one part for the core and the second is for ocompletion.
