Is there anybody using the Magma OODB in production? For what kind of application? How does it behave under load? How large is your dataset? How do you perform external backup? What's the best setup? I've insist. Because maybe somebody else runs into this bug, and thinks that NB is broken, instead of understanding they should use new C syntax. For examples i was using the latest Pango code. If you want we could raise a warning, suggesting changing the code? (maybe too disturbing). [Pharo-project] Better Gofer error messages

Hi guys, Please please, let someone improve Gofer error messages, which are now totally non-understandable. Check in advance if some package is there and say "No package with that name", or even better, "no package with expected name: Blabla6.xxx" or something. What it is now is unusable, sorry. To prepare a right script is a big pain. Specially because there are nowhere rules how packages are resolved by a name. Hi guys While I prefer sharedPool over pool dictionary and I like what andreas did back then. there are still places for improvements. If you file out a category with a pool and a class using it. If the pool is not created first, then the system automatically add a 'private' (pool named 'private') to the class the problem is that such pool is an empty dictionary and not a shared pool Gorgeous :) We will get there when we will start to surround the classBuilder and rewrite it from scratch. I'm starting to put together some helpers for UI testing. What's out there already? I started simulating keyboard events. It seems like the place to hook is ActiveHand>>handleEvent:. This way, it will take into account the keyboard focus and route the event the way it would for a real event. Does that sound right? So far the API adds TestCase>>simulateKeyStrokes: which forwards to ActiveHand>>handleEvent:, so you can put in a test: testMyMorph MyMorph new openInWorld. "MyMorph takes the keyboard focus in #initialize" self simulateKeyStrokes: 'abcd'. "keystrokes go to MyMorph instance" Obviously, there are things missing (like modifier keys), but what are your thoughts on the general approach?
