PBE2?

Hi everyone, as far as I understand PBE2 is actually deep into pharo. Maybe we should update PBE because when someone new starts to work with pharo I usually suggest him to read PBE. Pharo 3 will have a lot of new cool features, and people have to work with 1.1. What do you think? Cheers! Uko

Cloning a git repo with FileSystem-Git

Hi, I want to be able to clone Amber github repo from Pharo for AmberOneClick ( http://www.smalltalkhub.com/#!/~LaurentLaffont/AmberOneClick) This: ConfigurationOfFileSystemGit loadBleedingEdge. git := GitAbstractProtocol url: ' https://github.com/amber-smalltalk/amber.git'. git want: git head. seems to get data from the git repo, but I do not understand how to create the directory / local repo on my hard drive. Slaves are still not reachable, the ci.inria.fr team should be working on a solution. - http://ci.inria.fr/pharo-contribution has a disk-size problem which I mitigated by deleting the workspace at the end of a build. - http://ci.inria.fr/rmod already lost 2 out of 4 slaves yours sincerely, the CI Janitor

DSM in Roassal

Dear all, i am using Roassal for visualizing applications dependencies and metrics of applications / applications clusters on enterprise architecture level. I would now do some experiments with DSM and found an older mailing list post that DSM support in Roassal is currently in development. That is cool :-) How can i tests this feature? It is not part of the latest Roassal (dev) version. Please help ... :-) BW, Volkert

Let me tell you why: I also wrote the Config browser for Pharo, initially "old style" with an #initWindow and then later converted it to be based on Spec with a #defaultSpec. If you want to check load the latest version of the new UI painter: Gofer new smalltalkhubUser: 'ErwanDouaille' project: 'UIPainter'; configurationOf: 'UIPainter'; load. ((Smalltalk at: #ConfigurationOfUIPainter) project version: 'baseline-0.1') load go to "Tools" -> "UIPainter" and drag the MetacelloConfigurationBrowser or the MetacelloConfigurationBrowserPane from the "Model" node onto the canvas. So if a future help tool will be based on Spec as well it could easily be integrated into any future Pharo tool. So if you have cycles to spend on the help system please go for a Spec version, but as I said it is up to you. Thanks! Bye T.
