I have been told that there are some problem with gitfiletree that make it not recommended for public consumption and recommendation to newcomers. I have been using not gitfiletree but filetree alone for the past week for my project Ephestos, because I am ok commiting to git via terminal/ https://github.com/kilon/phEphestos I have to congratulate people behind filetree it has been a smooth ride so far.I had no problems with it at all and I am using git in terminal for doing all the git commits and push etc. filetree also has been very succesful at some major refactoring I have done to Ephestos, I had to change the name of an entire class and I had to change methods to other classes . Filetree did an excellent job not just with the export to st file but actually git was able to see which files were deleted and which were renamed. That meant I did not have to do any git rm . However I do need to git add every time I add a new method or filetree creates a new file. Usually that is not a problem because I can see what files are not tracked by git with git status and copy paste their paths to git add. So I will say overall my commits have been a process of saving in monticello , git add, git commit and git push which exactly the same process I have used for when I was and still coding in python. So thank you for this tool , I got fed up with the slow downs of Smalltalkhub and all its problems and it feels great to be back at using github :) I will keep testing for a couple a months and then completely move to github . The only thing I noticed is that sometimes monticello slows down but that may well be a problem with Pharo 4.

Now that the Classes from which the DejaVu StrikeFont instances were created have been removed from the image, where do we keep the required Copyright notices? http://dejavu-fonts.org/wiki/index.php?title=License Cheers, Henry

Just fix the configuration. Nothing there for pharo 4.x And as baseline012 refers to #development everywhere, you'll need to check all dependencies too Stephan

In build 40239, if I try to add an instance variable (e.g. 'xx') to AbstractNautilusUI, I get "Error: should not happen" from LayoutEmptyScope(LayoutAbstractScope)>>rebase:to: A tried a few other classes and they are okay. Spec support for GT-Inspector

[issue tracker] back porting 4 to 3

Hi, When there are issues that people wan to have back ported, the easiest (which worked very nicely last year) is this: 1) add the âback portâ issue as the *parent* of the main issue tracker entry. 2) make sure to do a slice early, itâs very easy to do when it is not yet integrated in Pharo4 (by looking at the diff). Issue 13494: Backport Pharo3 Issue 13494: some fixe â> Issue 13494: some fix Then first the slice will be validated on Pharo4, then it will get integrated there. After that, the Issue for Pharo3 will get validate by the monkey, and the is ready integration. This makes sure that fixes are put to use and validated in Pharo4 before we even think about adding them to the stable release. Marcus

Ephestos 0.1 released

This is 0.1 the first stable release of Ephestos. This release contains the following -a socket client bridge for sending and receiving messages from Blender which acts as a socket server a sendMessage: message to send python command as string to Blender to be executed a python parser that allows the pharo syntax to be used to parse to a python command for simple things like calling instance and class method and assigning class and instance variables a getValue: message for reading python values from variables support for triggering the pharo debugger on python error support for sending multiple lines of python code in a single message, for defining python classes and much more. It now can be used for full controlling Blender. The next step is to refine getting values from Blender so they are automagically converted from strings to Pharo data types. I also will start working on a customised GUI and creating an API for it, the goal is to build GUIs that heavily rely on images and custom skins with ease.
