Anyone knows for what this is used: TreeListMorph>> addSubmorphsAfter: parentMorph fromCollection: aCollection allowSorting: sortBoolean "Update the font on each morph." |answer| answer := super addSubmorphsAfter: parentMorph fromCollection: aCollection allowSorting: sortBoolean. "---- THIS TAKES TIME ----" self scroller submorphsDo: [:i | i font: self font; extent: i minWidth @ i minHeight]. "---- XXXXX ----" ^answer setting the font and extent on all scroller submorphs is extremly slow. Try to merge a package with many changes, it takes up to several minutes until the DiffMorph shows up. Removing the above lines makes the DiffMorph much faster and I can not see any visual difference. nicolai

Problem copy pasting from internet browser to GTPlayground

I try to copy this code here https://www.facebook.com/ObjectProfile/posts/742756179144315 and paste it to Playground to do it. It inserts illegal characters. I am on MacOS Yosemite and tried Chrome and Safari. Workspace also has same issue. Is there a solution to this ? Copy pasting code from an internet browser is kinda a huge deal.

Hi there, I am interested in helping out with writing tests in Pharo, and was wondering where would be a good place to start. I am familiar with Smalltalk from working at GemStone Systems in their QA department some years ago, but am somewhat new to Pharo. Any advice would be very appreciated. default fonts changed in Pharo 4.0

Hi, We changed the default fonts in Pharo for the ones that are used normally in Moose. They are: Source Sans Pro and Source Code Pro. We needed to do it for several reasons: 1) TxText (the new text model) is cairo based, and cairo just can work with real fonts, so we need them as default (now we will be able to integrate TxText and start the replace of old editors) 2) Current fonts takes too much space and do not scales fine (at least that Iâve been told) So, well, thatâ¦ you will see âsomething differentâ when you download latest image version :) cheers, Esteban

Anyone know why TestRunner>>categorySelected was hard coded to return zero? It breaks shift-click multiple selection in TestRunner. I have made Ian Piumarta's GST GetOpt work in Pharo 3.0 See: http://www.smalltalkhub.com/#!/~philippeback/GetOpt Nice tool even if we have some other support in CommandLineHandlers. But for a quick parameters setting in your own CommandLineHandler, it is fast to use and easy to debug. Phil
