Three questions that might end up in issues: 1. Is there a reason why Association(class)>>#key:value: looks like key: newKey value: newValue ... ^(super key: newKey) value: newValue instead of key: newKey value: newValue ... ^(self key: newKey) value: newValue in case #key: will be redefined in Association class 2. What is the reason for LookupKey>>#canAssign. Method stamp says ajh from 2002. This message is not sent and I guess we can remove/deprecate it. 3. Similar question for LookupKey>>#isSpecialReadBinding from ar in 2003 This message is not sent and I guess we can remove/deprecate it. Comments welcomed! Thanks T.

Settings: Standardize Protocols

What makes the most sense here? Some classes have the pragma methods in 'settings' and the accessors in 'accessing', others (e.g. Delay) have all of the above in 'settings'. Others have methods miscategorized (e.g. NECPreferences has half its defaults in 'defaults' and half in 'settings'. I see the logic in putting the accessors in settings to more clearly identify them? Maybe 'accessing settings' or 'settings-accessing'? Issue 15523: Code Cruft Rule Only Matches One-Liners

https://pharo.fogbugz.com/default.asp?15523 Ouch, burned by "you must match at the level of the parse tree you are altering" again... It is ridiculously easy to fall into the following trap - when rewriting, you must match at the same level that you alter the parse tree. Thus, if your rule has one statement, like "`@object setHaltOnce", you can just focus on it... Unless you want to remove it completely! Then, you are altering the parse tree one level up, so you can't just write the above... Unless you're working on a one-line method, in which case you are at the top level and can do what you want! Woah! WTH!! Because of this common pitfall, RBCodeCruftLeftInMethodsRule was only matching one-line methods (which are the only ones we test of course). I rewrote it and added some tests. Fix in inbox: SLICE-Issue-15523-Code-Cruft-Rule-Only-Matches-One-Liners-SeanDeNigris.1 - Fix and clean RBCodeCruftLeftInMethodsRule to work on methods with multiple lines - Add tests for above - Move Object halting methods into 'halting' protocol. CogVM binaries as per VMMaker.oscog-eem.1299/r3336 Clarify how to specify variadic primitives in the Cogit's primitive table initializer (it had confused me enough to cause a regression). Fix the regression in genPrmitiveClass. Implement the stream primtiives using genFastPrimFail which should speed up the stream prims noticeably. -- best, Eliot

Thanks alain Before asking we read all the examples and I saw that selector: is used to communicate and update the code pane. (UIManager default newAutoAcceptTextEntryFor: self get: #selector set: #selector: class: String getEnabled: #haveClassName help: 'Enter a selector' translated entryCompletion: entryCompletion) acceptOnCR: false; ghostText: 'Selector'; withDropListButton; Now my problem (and may be there is not solution) is how can I connect from a pluggableListMorph to a RubScrollText when the list does not generate announcement. This is why I tried to pass via dependents or something like that. I will try to generate announcements but this is a lot more work and I do not know if it will work. Stef

Ok we looked at it a lot :) But what is missing to use is how we can register the morph to the nautilus list so that when it changes we get invoked. In Nautilus this is self changed: #sourceCodeFrom: We tried to register via addDependent..... but it did not work.
