Very strange bug indeed that happens on windows machines that crashes the VM. I succeeded to reduce the problem to an evaluation of a collectionâ¦ Can someone have the same issue under Windows or Mac? To reproduce : Copy paste the contents of the attached file in the playground and print it or do it It works on pre-spur vm. BTW, there is not crash.dmp, does it works with spur? problem with slots on proxies

Hi, I am trying to play with some proxies that inherit from ProtoObject have slots. For example, I try to do this, but I get an error: ProtoObject subclass: #BBB instanceVariableNames: 'variable' classVariableNames: '' package: 'BBB'. BBB class allSlots first read: BBB new The problem is that the slot sends messages to its parent object, such as: IndexedSlot>>read: anObject ^ anObject instVarAt: index This is a problem because a similar scenario happens also when you open a debugger on a proxy that tries to communicate with a remote image. I think that instead of sending messages to the receiver, we should make the slot work with the mirror primitives. For example, we would rewrite the read: method like: IndexedSlot>>read: anObject ^ thisContext object: anObject instVarAt: index Do you agree? Can I open an issue for this? I think this is important. Hi, Iâm trying to get ready the download page for Pharo 5.0â¦ who should happen next monday :) So, I create a download page: http://pharo.org/download-50 and one for linux: http://pharo.org/gnu-linux-installation-50 For linux, I made linux general centos oldLibC but 1) I cannot test them 2) list is incomplete, we are still missing: - ubuntu ppa - Nix - ArchLinux Can responsables for those platforms take action and test/prepare packages? thanks! XMLParser changes

Hi, last week there was a new stable version of XMLParser and some tests broke in some tools. I think that there was a regression in this version. Snippet: (XMLDOMParser parse: '<?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?>  <Clones> <ClonedFragment cloneName="test"> <Member fileName="ProgramA"/> <Member fileName="ProgramB"/> </ClonedFragment> <ClonedFragment cloneName="test2"> <Member fileName="ProgramA"/> <Member fileName="ProgramB"/> </ClonedFragment> </Clones>') elements first nodes With the release 2.7.4 we get 2 nodes but in release 2.7.6 we get 5 nodes. UFFIOpenGL binding and Woden is now working in Pharo 5

Hello, I made new OpenGL bindings for Pharo 5 using the UFFI (Available at: http://smalltalkhub.com/#!/~ronsaldo/UFFIOpenGL ). Unlike the old NBOpenGL, these new bindings make a heavy use of OSWindow SDL2 which is integrated and enabled by default in the Pharo 5 image. These bindings do not provide a way to create an OpenGL context or to create a Morphic window using OpenGL unlike NBOpenGL. For testing quickly OpenGL in Pharo 5, it should be enough to do the following in the playground: (ConfigurationOfOSWindow project version: #stable) load: 'WithOpenGLAndExamples'. (Smalltalk at: #OSGLExampleBasic3) new. As for Woden, it is now working in Pharo 5 with the UFFI. For loading Woden in a Pharo 5 image, is enough to do the following in the playground (Also available at the Woden Smalltalkhub page): Gofer new smalltalkhubUser: 'ronsaldo' project: 'Woden'; package: 'ConfigurationOfWoden'; load. (Smalltalk at: #ConfigurationOfWoden) loadBleedingEdge. For an example the following script should be executed in a Playground: WDFPSSimpleExample6 new open. Greetings, Ronie

GTDebugger shortcuts usability

Hi, I'm getting fed-up with GTDebugger shortcuts since they are completely random. Can we have them more meaningful and/or somehow visible? For now I ended up overriding the labels so I can at least see them... but doing this is also stupid, because I still have to look at them since I cannot remember random shortcuts. â 1. can we unify the shift vs ctrl+shift nonsense? (I'm using linux btw) 2. can we use the default shortcuts pattern where one of the letters is underlined? Peter
