Hi Doru et al! I was here having difficulties to see how to use spotter, and how to dive into, and show more results, because the shortcuts are hidden if you don't know them by heart. So I thought, why the spotter ui does not - propose the shortcuts to dive at the right of the list? - propose some extra items for e.g., show all items? Something like the attached picture... What do you think? Guille

We have two identical bloc images built on ci with one day difference and *no changes to bloc* https://ci.inria.fr/pharo-contribution/job/Bloc/26/ - works https://ci.inria.fr/pharo-contribution/job/Bloc/27/ - drawing crashes with the following error: [image: Inline image 1] Looks like fix to issue https://pharo.fogbugz.com/f/cases/17564 in #50579 causes bug. [GTInpector] Numeric sorting in occurences column of a Bag

Hi, While inspecting a bag, in the Occurrences tab, I would like a numeric sorting of the occurrences column. For now it is an alpha-numeric sort which is not practical with numbers >= 10 So, I saw that is it possible to add a sortedBy: block on the column (through column:evaluated:sortedBy:). Consequently, I changed Bag>> gtInspectorOccurrencesIn: : column: 'Occurences' evaluated: [ :each | self occurrencesOf: each ] + sortedBy: [ :a :b | a <= b ]; beMultiple; I expected a sort in the occurrence column, but the sort is made in the item column.. and not apply on the occurrences one!? Is it a known bug ? Example dataset: #( 1 11 11 11 1 1 1 11 1 1 1 1 1 1 1 1 1 1 1 1 11 1 1 1 1 1 11 1 1 1111 2 00 2001 00 010 10 1000) asBag BTW, I don't really understand the difference of sort if we click on the Item or the Occurrences label... build 50588 strange font failure?

Not sure if this is a once-off, but just reporting since its a bit strange. Into a newly minted 50588 image I had recently loaded Slice-Issue-17373...BenComan.12.mcz which however only introduces new code with no modification to existing code (except minor re-factoring of some tests) I was happily editing a method in the Browser when the problem occured. Its okay if I type within an existing word, but with space either side of the cursor, typing cause a primitive failure per the stack below. "....." notes some values. This occurs even from a new Browser window, on any method. In system settings, unticking and reticking [Use Free type...] causes red-pane-of-death on the problematic code panes with similar stack as below, but the problem is fixed in newly opened Browser windows. Stabilization Slack Channel

Hi! With Esteban we set up a new slack channel to discuss about the stabilization of Pharo5. The idea is to discuss stabilization problems in a quicker way than the issue tracker (which we should also use btw:)). The description of the channel is Temporary channel to work on urgent stabilisation issues. Everybody willing to help is invited to join :) Guille

Zinc-Character-Encoding Updates

Although Zinc HTTP Components is a framework for HTTP with full featured client and server implementations, it has long contained two sub packages that are independent of HTTP or even networking: Zinc-Resource-Meta (which implements URL and MimeType) and Zinc-Character-Encoding (for all kinds of character encoding). While implementing the Pharo Unicode project, I made a couple of changes to Zinc-Character-Encoding. The ZnCharacterEncoder hierarchy was refactored a bit with the introduction of ZnUTFEncoder and ZnEndianSensitiveUTFEncoder while a new encoder was added: ZnUTF32Encoder. This means all official Unicode encoders, UTF-8, UTF-16 and UTF-32 are now supported. See the chapters '3.9 Unicode Encoding Forms' and '3.10 Unicode Encoding Schemes' in http://www.unicode.org/versions/Unicode8.0.0/ch03.pdf The API of the encoders was also extended to not only work between characters and bytes, but also between integer Unicode code points and bytes. A refactoring was done regarding streams as well with the introduction of ZnEncodedStream and ZnEncoded[Read|Write]Stream above ZnCharacter[Read|Write]Stream and the addition of ZnCodePoint[Read|Write]Stream.
