Bug in Rectangle?

Inverting the origin and the corner of a rectangle changes the result of intersection. I guess it's a bug, though I imagine that changing the code of Rectangle is likely to have deep/undesired consequences.. (0@0 corner: 100@100) intersects: (-50@ -50 corner: 80@80) ==> true (100@100 corner: 0@0) intersects: (-50@ -50 corner: 80@80) ==> false !!!! Noury

Image's size in pillar

Hello, I write chapter for PharoForTheEnterprise and I have problems with images. It is said, that I should use the syntax : +Caption>file://image.png|width=50|label=label+ but with changing the value width I didnât get changes of my images sizes. How can I make my images take half of the pageâs width? Best regards, Natalia

Windows FileSystem '\test\bar' not an absolute path

I have some strong concerns about the semantics of FileSystem on MS Windows treating '\directory' as a relative path rather than an absolute path. For example currently... '/tmp/test.txt' asFileReference fullName --> 'C:\Users\Ben\AppData\Roaming\Pharo\images\30790\tmp\test.txt' when it _should_ go... '/tmp/test.txt' asFileReference fullName --> 'C:\tmp\x.txt' This seems to be by design per '\test\bar' below... WindowsStoreTest>>testAbsolutePath #('c:\' 'C:\temp' 'A:\temp\test') do: [:each | self assert: (WindowsStore current pathFromString: each) isAbsolute ] WindowsStoreTest>>testRelativePath #('a' 'bin\foo' 'temp\test' '\test\bar') do: [:each | self assert: (WindowsStore current pathFromString: each) isRelative ] However taking as reference the Windows Command Shell (cmd.exe)... (1) C:\> mkdir \a\b\a\c (2) C:\> cd a (3) C:\a> cd b (4) C:\a\b> cd \a (5) C:\a> observe that after 'cd \a' (4) the working directory becomes absolute 'C:\a' rather than relative 'C:\a\b\a' . Microsoft defines [1] a file name is RELATIVE to the current directory if it DOES NOT begin with: * A single backslash, for example, "\directory" or "\file.txt". This is also referred to as an ABSOLUTE path. Indeed all Windows applications I know operate this way. Using different semantics is a bug. Nautilus: plugins, PackageTreePackageSelection, PackageTreeTagSelectop, promote, tags, ...

I have been looking at Nautilus plugins as I wanted to be able to export some classes to other formats (e.g. CSV, XML for use with other tools). Then, I started playing around with the URLPlugin with its buildString method, which proves helpful to find out about what is selected in the 'list2'. So, that's where I started drilling down the rabbit hole... So, I see that we have packages and package tags. And actions like promote as true package and demote (which kind of doesn't work and crashes, but I should test further). One thing is that this setup breaks the PackageTasks plugin is broken at this point. We have: >>packageSelected: anAnnouncement package := anAnnouncement package. ... tasks := (self systemNavigation allCallsOn: 'flag:' asSymbol) select: [ :m | package includesMethod: m selector ofClass: m methodClass ] ] But with the packages and tags, it doesn't work. In fact, package is misleading as the announcement contains a PackageTreePackageSelection or a PackageTreeTagSelection. Question: how is one filtering on either the package or a given tag? Is this possible? I saw the >>node and node>>item things. I was trying to build the full path (Like "Nautilus-Plugin" from what is selected in the model). Question; Is there any method for doing that at this point? (e.g. fullTag?) Then I tried this: Object subclass: #XXXX instanceVariableNames: '' classVariableNames: '' category: 'Nautilus-Nautilus' This gets XXXX mixed with the classes in Nautilus under the Nautilus package in the Nautilus tag. So, a tag class is mixed with the root package. Not nice. What's the underlying model? Is there a doc somewhere? Going back to the digging... TIA Phil
