How you guys are loading fuel on Pharo 3? This isn't getting that done: Gofer new url: 'http://smalltalkhub.com/mc/Pharo/Fuel/main'; package: 'ConfigurationOfFuel'; load. ((Smalltalk at: #ConfigurationOfFuel) project version: #stable) load.

Update Fuel documentation

This page http://rmod.lille.inria.fr/web/pier/software/Fuel/Version1.9/Documentation/… obsolete information, at least for Squeak installation. This is because ConfigurationOfFuel-MaxLeske.178 still points to old repository http://ss3.gemstone.com/ss/Fuel.html which has been drained... ConfigurationOfFuel-MartinDias.209 should be a better starting point. In latest Squeak trunk there is another problem: lack of squeak4.5.x support both in ConfigurationOfFuel and MetacelloSqueakPlatform>>defaultPlatformAttributes. But it's another problem, not related to documentation

I have an easy fix for Fuel on Squeak trunk. It concerns the FuelCompatibility layer, so I hesitate to publish on Pharo fogbugz... Is there a dedicated bug tracker? What is the preferred procedure? Nicolas

100% CPU usage on image resume

Hi, I saved an image and today I wanted to resume it. Everything comes up, for a second I can interact with it (e.g. move a window) but then the pharo VM goes to 100% CPU usage. Nautilus often loses context

Hi all, When working with Nautilus in Pharo 3, I often experience that the browser looses its context after a save. I edit a method, save it, and Nautilus will jump away from that context, essentially showing itself as if it was just opened from scratch so I need to manually reselect the class, the protocol and the method I was working on. It's very annoying and I wonder if this is something other people experience too and that this is known? At first I thought it was when I was editing methods in class extensions. But it happens randomly, sometimes after I got the dialog to 'save your changes' but sometimes not. Anybody? Johan

The behavior that Stef explains is indeed what was intended: when they are used show them, when not, not. This is just like Traits. The implementation was broken in this respect though. Sorry for that. Soundplugin for Windows/Linux

Can someone change PharoVM build configs regarding issue 12493 <https://pharo.fogbugz.com/default.asp?12493> Sound does not work for Windows and Linux VMs because windows) PharoVMBuilder does not include soundplugin in the windows config linux) vm-sound-alsa has unresolved externals -> can not be loaded squeaks vm-sound-oss and vm-sound-pulse are working with pharo too vm-sound-oss source is in pharos vm source, but not in pharovmbuilders config, so it just isn't built. For me, it looks like it is solveable by just changing PharoVMBuilder configs. I built my own VMs for Windows (Windows 7 32Bit) and Linux (Ubuntu 10.04), and it works. But I don't know if the exclusion of this plugins is on purpose because they may make problems on other Win/Linux versions. Nicolai

Seaside extensions and lowercase package names in Pharo

Now that Pharo uses real packages beside categories I see some lowercase "ghost" packages in Monticello Browser list after loading Seaside. To reproduce just load Seaside using config browser and check in Monticello browser. I guess this is coming from methods in lowercase extension categories like "*seaside-pharo-core" which do not really match "Seaside-Pharo-Core" package. Any comments? Thx T.

ConfigurationOfGetText broken?

Hello, It seems that some recent changes in the ConfigurationOfText have broken the loading in the Pharo 3.0. I'm loading GetText with the following script in my config. spec project: 'GetText' with: [ spec className: 'ConfigurationOfGettext'; file: 'ConfigurationOfGettext'; loads: #('Core' ); version: '1.3'; "tried #development too" repository: 'http://smalltalkhub.com/mc/PharoExtras/Gettext/main']. I get this error whatever version I put. 'The version ''1.3'' is not defined in ConfigurationOfGettext for the current platform, because an exception occurred while creating the version:. Error: The imported version:''1.1-baseline'' for version: 1.3 referenced from the method: #version13: in configuration ConfigurationOfGettext has not been defined.. Evaluate the following to see the error: ''[ConfigurationOfGettext project ] on: MetacelloErrorInProjectConstructionNotification do: [:ex | ex resume: true ].'' Possible versions include: #(#bleedingEdge #development #stable ''1.0-baseline'' ''1.0'' ''1.1'' ''1.2'')' I tried to debug and compared with the changes from the previous version but didn't find any workable solution.
