Hi guys :) Spec just got updated in 3.0 and the old TreeModel is now deprecated :) So the AlainTreeModel is now known as TreeModel, and TreeModel is now OldTreeModel (in Spec-Deprecated). The migration should be simple since both API are the same. Just think to change the name of the widget during the widgets initialisation (#initializeWidgets) Thank you :) Ben

Hi, Pharo3 build is green on mac and linux: https://ci.inria.fr/pharo/job/Pharo-3.0-Update-Step-2-Validation/ On win we have some strange test failures (just on the build server, I think) - Zinc.Tests.ZnServerTests.testEntityTooLarge - Zinc.Tests.ZnServerTests.testHeaderLineTooLong - Zinc.Tests.ZnServerTests.testRequestLineTooLong The issue for this is here: https://pharo.fogbugz.com/f/cases/10908

modeling Zinc request method

Hi, The recently announced cool tutorial on using Zinc made me read the Zinc code in a bit more detail. I must admit, it makes for a nice read. In the process, I stumbled across: knownHTTPMethods ^ #( "Standard HTTP 1.1 Verbs" GET PUT POST DELETE HEAD TRACE OPTIONS CONNECT PATCH "WebDAV verbs" PROPFIND PROPPATCH MKCOL COPY MOVE LOCK UNLOCK) I would propose to model these as classes (inheriting from ZnRequestMethod). If we would have such a hierarchy, then the following code: ZnSingleThreadedServer>>handleRequest: request ... request method = #HEAD ifTrue: [ response clearEntity ]. Could become something like: ZnSingleThreadedServer>>handleRequest: request ... request method clearEntityForSingleThreadedServerResponse: response ZnRequestMethod>>clearEntityForSingleThreadedServer: aResponse "nothing" ZnHeadRequestMethod>>clearEntityForSingleThreadedServer: aResponse aResponse clearEntity What do you think? [ANN] PharoS (Stack) VM jenkins builds now green

Hi, I forgot announce this last week :) We are now building StackVM versions for Pharo! The name we choose is "PharoS", who can be understood as "Pharo StackVM", "Pharo Small", "Pharo Stripped", "Pharo Slow" :) You can check it and download here: https://ci.inria.fr/pharo/view/VM/job/PharoSVM/ Some notes to take into account: - there is still a problem in the mac builds that make it almost unusable (it is giving 5m message sends and a lot of cpu cycles) I'm working on fixing this, but task still not finished. SO DO NOT TRY IT IN OSX NOW :) - tests for PharoS in OSX are disabled for now (because of the same reason, obviously :)
