SmalltalkHub upgrade! Hi, I'm pleased to announce a new SmalltalkHub upgrade. This upgrade includes quite some bug fixes and speed improvements. - new buttons to delete mcz files and packages - deleting projects will delete mcz files - team can now also be deleted - the MCZ cache is now correctly flushed when required - Private projects are now hidden from all public timelines - Speed improvements for some Mongo requests Issue fixes: - issue 16: Cannot delete project - Issue 1: Monticello Registration snippet should not supply user name - Issue 5: Some message should be shown when you try do delete the only member of a Team - Issue 6: I just got to see an Amber debugger while trying to log out - Issue 25: Remove packages does not work - Issue 23: Encoding problem You can follow the bug tracker of SmalltalkHub and report issues there: https://code.google.com/p/smalltalk-hub/issues Cheers, Nico

[Pharo-project] Understanding NBOpenGL

Ok so I tried to learn Opengl ES 2 (and opengl 4) during my eastern vacations because I realised that I dont really need Athens or vector graphics for my GUI , since I will be dealing mostly with 3d graphics anyway. (My project "ephestos" will be an effort of creating a 3d app for pharo, see also "blender") So when I tried to run the demos i get an error with NBMacGLContextDriver>>supportsCurrentPlatform "obviously, for Mac intel-32 only :)" ^ NativeBoost platformId = NativeBoostConstants mac32PlaformId My mac is "obviously" not 32-bit but 64 bit, but I dont know if that matters since pharo is only 32 bit anyway. The bug is also obvious it should be mac32PlatformId and not mac32PlaformId. At first I though my NB was lagging behind in version so I download from smalltalk Hub and did ConfigurationOfNativeboost loadStable. it updated without errors but still that class is nowhere to be found. Possible PharoVM bug (wrong object on stack top)

Hi I've been seeing a particular bug that I can only see when using the PharoVM and I was wondering if anybody else has been having the same issue. Under certain condition, a debugger will open displaying "SmallInteger does not understand <some message>". The stack top contains an integer (something of the form 138402, not sure how many digits), which explains the message. However, the situation actually looks like this: htmil anchor id: 'foo'; â¦ In this example, the error would be "SmallInteger does not understand #id:". So the stack top contains an integer instead of the receiver. Restarting the execution of the method and proceeding fixes the problem. I think I've seen that (using seaside), a new session will trigger the bug again. Apart from Seaside, I've also seen the same problem when loading Roberto Minelli's DevFlow into a Pharo 2.0 image. The debugger will open on a Metacello method. [ANN] SS3 the canary site

Dear fellow Smalltalkers For me to test new features of SqueakSource3 and for you to have a look on new features and fixed bugs, I have created http://canary.netshed.de/ which is the most recent, say alpha, deployment of SqueakSource3. It contains features that are not yet deployed at other ss3 sites, including the gemstone one. I cannot make any guaranty that code commited to the canary will survive forever; it is a play toy, so go play with it :) Attached a teaser image. Best -Tobias

potential bug with PackaegSet

Hi esteban In Seaside, I created a subclass of WAFileLibrary then StefWAFileLibrary addAllFilesIn: 'foo' my folder foo contained a simple sh file I got a method created in the class side of StefWAFileLibrary I created a separated package and I could not save (I could save) but the method could be included. I added other methods by hand and they were saved but not the methods created by the addAllFilesIn: I suspect that the addAllFilesIn: did not raise a proper announcement. Hi I have domain objects for example logs. And I have a UI. Now I would like to let the programmer to extend the Log items (either by subclassing or extensions) and add new actions. For example I would like that the compiler is able to define errors as log items so that after we can go to the log panel and press 'identify' and that we jump to the place in the code. Now I'm wondering how I could define menu items in a way that I do not polute the domain object with menus. Stef
