Hi - we are trying to port to Pharo some work I've done on Concrete Type Inference back in 2001. I've got a Squeak 2.8 image which is working, but having some minor problems with the pluggins. Is there a public repository where old Squeak distributions are stored? Thanks, Francisco

[Pharo-project] ConfigurationOfNautilus fix

The latest ConfigurationOfNautilus was broken (Nautilus 4.3). I've uploaded a new version. However, this shows a bigger problem. The packages loaded in version 4.3 was modified over time. So doing "(ConfigurationOfNautilus project version: '4.3') load" right now loads different packages than 6 hours ago and breaks. It's alright but having this many times a day for countless packages hurts. We *should not* modify versions that have been tagged by the "stable" symbolic version. Francois

OK, So, I'm writing a class and I have an initialize method. Well, I have two, actually, a class initialize and an instance initialize. And when I save it, the Nautilus browser shows it with a red flag in the gutter next to the instance method "initialize". And sure enough, instead of being called when I crate a new instance, the superclass' initialize is called instead. I can't figure it out. I have other classes that are virtually identical, structurally and they don't have the problem. So I remove the instance initialize method and then paste it back in. Red flag is gone, instance initialize is now being called. And instead of the red flag I get a green override arrow. What happened? ===Blake===

[Pharo-project] OSProcess - is process done?

Sometimes, OSProcess hangs even though the underlying command has completed. For example, on Mac 10.7.3: p := PipeableOSProcess waitForCommand: 'ps -ax -o pid,command' "never returns" even though "p upToEnd" immediately returns the output if I use #command: instead of waiting. How best to handle this? Thanks. Hi, I work actually on a PDF framework for Pharo. But, you can produce PDF documents with metadata, multiple page formats in a same document, draw tables, write text and paragraphs, play with colors and grey levels.
