hi! I am now using TextLint over my submissions. Each time I modify the text, the rest of the errors have a wrong text index. It makes it difficult to use. I do an accept, to save my .tex and run the rules again, but it takes time... [' yields an error 'subscript is out of bounds: 12' instead of a syntax error like 'self foo. [Period or right bracket expected ->'. This is broken in 1.1.1 and 1.2. In Parser>>#expected:, the hereMark is larger than the size of the source, which leads to a subsequent error when creating a syntax error notification.

[Pharo-project] access to the serial interface?

I'm wondering how to I access the serial interface on the diverse Platforms with Pharo. On Unix I assume I just can open the "/dev/ttyX" as Stream? What about access to COM: stuff in Windows. Just open it and see what will happen? Regards Friedrich

Hi all We have a really good news for pharo. Igor got a job as engineer in our team for two years. We are really thankful to INRIA for that. Since we want to be transparent here is the way we plan to work. We asked igor to help fixing bug fixes for about 20% of his time. And to focus on larger items. Here is a list based on the brainstorming we did and what we told INRIA igor would do. Now if you want to help and join effort with us this is even better. Dear Smalltalkers, Christmas edition of Aida/Web is on the way and here is first beta, for Squeak/Pharo and VisualWorks. Instruction how to install it are there: http://www.aidaweb.si/download , Beta release What's new: *Mobile* devices like smartpone and tablet support, with mobile device detection and special mobile CSS as addition to screen CSS, so that you can easily adapt your existing apps to mobile simply by overriding the existing CSS. *HTML5* support: Aida switches now to HTML5 by default and HTML5 specific features will be gradually added, WebSocket is there already, local storage and offline support comes next. *WebSocket* support for bidirectional communication between server and browser, as a replacement for Comet. WebSocket channel is now automatically open on the session with WebSocket capable browser. *JSON* messaging introduced to be gradually used as only message format in unified (Ajax or WebSocket) communication between server and browser *Widget forms" introduced, hierarchy of forms follow the hierarchy of standalone widgets, each widget can Ajax submit its own form together with subforms in subwidgets. *registering root domain objects* is now simplified: myAIDASite register: myObject onUrl: '/myobject' Release notes with most important new features higlighted are available at: http://www.aidaweb.si/release-notes-6.2 . Hi, Hudson changes of today and yesterday: - added the image, changes and sources of the last successfull build as .zip (this is now configured for all 1.1, 1.2 core and full) - do not archive the images after test run. (the Workspace has those if one needs them) - The Full builds now are triggered to be rebuilt after a core build (need to be tested) - Cyrille started to use the Hudson for the Moose-based Pharo reporting stuff (work in progress) Next steps: - One-Click Builds for Full 1.1 and 1.2 - Add update numbers to build descriptions - Full builds should re-use the core image artefacts Later: - Builds VMs from reposository, use those for everything. -- Marcus Denker -- http://www.marcusdenker.de INRIA Lille -- Nord Europe.
