Ok, I write the changeset, but I don't like it hehehehe. What about puting isMacintosh, isUnix and isWindows in SmalltalkImage ? I think those methods are useful and perhaps many people in different packages are doing things like this: ^SmalltalkImage current platformName = 'Mac OS' This is not nice. Tomorrow we change the platformName and we have to modify a lot of code. For example, I searched the string "SmalltalkImage current platformName = 'Mac OS'" and it is in a lot of places. Hi, Here a small guide for those who want to help with bufixing. Website is: http://code.google.com/p/pharo/issues/list The simplest thing to help is to look at a report and ask yourself the Question: "What is the next physical, down to earth action that need to be done to get this issue resolved?". Actually, adding a statement about that to the report alone would help *a lot*. You don't need to do anything, just write down what should be done next. And magically, often the next step is trivial. The report links to a website which has a changet? The next step is to attach it to this report. The report describes that method x and y in Class Z need to be removed? add a changeset (or a slice in the inbox) to do that. ScriptLoader loadMC16 There is currently a problem where Installer>>installMCZ:from: calls #install:stream: on MczInstaller but this one DNU. You can fix it by replacing the call to #installStream: instead when the bug occurs. Also, Installer-Launcher overrides ProjectLauncher>>startUpAfterLogin and calls the non existing #setupFlaps. When that happens, just remove the call to #setupFlaps and restard. Keith, could you please fix these two bugs? First of all, let me know if there is a better place to ask questions related to Mondrian. I am preparing my ESUG presentation and I am a bit lazy to some UML diagrams. I would like to do a reverse engineer of my code. The main problem is that most (if not all) UML software are with "java style" using () in methods and you cannot import smalltalk code. So, I want to give Mondrian a try. I loaded it into Pharo and draw the classes I need, using something like this: MOReadme new umlFor: self myClassesToDraw The thing is that only "inherits" relationship is drawn. Now I wonder: 1) can I draw by hand associations and dependencies between classes ? 2) Is there a way to show only some methods instead of ALL of them ? Thanks, Mariano

Hi, I would like to fileout the content of Transcript. But it doesn't seem to be possible because "Squeak Transcript (different from VW Transcript) is the stream of not yet appened text" (nicolas cellier). (How about pharo ?) One solution seems to be to add a dependent to Transcript and log stuff on "updated: #appendEntry". Is there a more practical solution ? This is not first time, i discovering that Pharo silently accepts the methods which having argument/temp names same as intance variable names. [Pharo-project] Making GLMorphic plugin work in Pharo

Hi, this is my first mail to the list so hello everybody. I've been trying to make GLMorphic work on pharo and got some useful results. I investigated the plugin that was needed to integrate into the VM and noticed it was really small, so I thought why make this in C if you can implement it directly in smalltalk. Shortly after that I came up with a translation of it (through FFI) so that you can use it with the VM as is. The code isn't something I'd call good, but it works fine (only windows, sorry). If you want to try it, you should do ScriptLoader loadFFI. and then download the GLMorphic-JEP version of GLMorphic package from squeaksource (after GLMorphic-sig? ). I also made some modifications to FFI-Examples, so you may also have to dowonload FF-Examples-JEP from squeakfoundation.org. I'm new to monticello so it wouldn't be strange if nothing got uploaded correctly. Some things work and most looks messed up, specially fonts... try World fullDrawOn: GLDisplayScreen testCanvas. and you'll see. Let me know what you think.
