sorting repositories in monticello browser

Hi, is it possible to sort repositories in monticello browser? When I have many (20+) packages it is quite hard to find any one. :( Or perhaps even swap repository names around... so instead of http://smalltalkhub.com/#!/~Moose/PetitParser/ github://Uko/QualityAssistant:v0.4.1 gitfiletree:///home/.../me/my-project master there would be something like Moose/PetitParser (SmalltalkHub) Uko/QualityAssistant [v0.4.1] (GitHub) me/my-project [master] (GitFileTree) and of course sorted by alphabet. To Camillo Bruni: I'm not using any slot image (I only looked over the paper). According to the Pharo book, 'pvt' should be implemented in the mainstream image. To Marcus Denker: There are actually several methods in the image with the 'pvt' prefix. Please update the doc (Pharo book) to remove talking about 'pvt'. It would have saved me a little headache :)

Hi, Yes, I've tried to follow the instructions on https://medium.com/concerning-pharo/reddit-st-in-10-cool-pharo-classes-1b53… If I run: Gofer it smalltalkhubUser: 'SvenVanCaekenberghe' project: 'Reddit'; configuration; loadStable. I get the following error: NameLookupFailure: cannot resolve 'http' and a dialog box saying either Retry or Give Up It's attempting to download files as follows: Loading all file names from http://http://mc.stfx.eu/Neo/ which appears to be the issue. Transfer image between OSes

Hi, I am just playing around with Pharo and now I wanted to take my Image (together with the .changes file) and transfer it from Windows to Linux. Under Linux I can start my .image and everything looks like on Win, but as soon as I go to the System->Settings Menu there is a error. I tried to look into the debugger and found out that a class (/WindowsStore(FileSystemStore)/) is calling '/ensureCreateDirectory: aPath/' where aPath points to the Path of my Windows System. Is this the intended behavior? What do I have to do if I want to transfer my images between OSes? How to move data between Pharo versions

Hello I have found a way round this problem, but it seems messy and uncomfortable, so I thought I should ask what is the right way to do it. I have just changed from using Moose 5.0 (Pharo 3.0, update: #30862) to Moose 5.1 (Pharo 4.0, update: #40613). I had a rather complex dictionary structure in a Playground in 5.0, which I wanted to reproduce exactly in the 5.1 image. Looking around, Fuel looked like the obvious tool to save and restore the structure. It saved OK in 5.0, but when I tried to re-materialize it in 5.1 I got an error message: 'FLBadVersion: Materialization error. Unexpected stream vers' (can't see the rest of the message). I could see from the debugger output that Fuel was looking for version 194 and seeing 193. Using a brute force approach, I hacked FLSerializer class >> currentVersion in the Moose 5.0 image to return 194 instead 193, then tried again, and of course everything worked OK. My question is what should I have done? How can I move data from one image to another of a later version? If Fuel has no backward compatibility, is there another tool I can use? Pastell Collection?

Hello In analysing XML documents produced by XMLHTMLParser, I sometimes find results presented as a PastellCollection. I have found this class in the System Browser, as a subclass of OrderedCollection, but there is no class comment. Reading the method code does not help me find out what it does. I have found no reference in Wikipedia, nor anything helpful in Google. I suppose if it follows the OrderedCollection protocols I can just treat it as a standard collection, but I am unhappy at working blind like this. Can anyone tell me what it is for, and whether I can safely treat it like any other collection? Many thanks Peter Kenny

Slice for a non Pharo package ?

Hello, I reported a bug on Athens here : https://pharo.fogbugz.com/f/cases/15640/ I also created a slice to solve it by following the Pharo fogbugz video tutorial. But then I realized that Athens is not present in Pharo/main so it would not make sense to commit the slice into the Pharo Inbox. What is the procedure to propose a Slice for a package outside Pharo/main ? Sorry if it's a dumb question :s Cheers, Matthieu

Hi, I'm trying to load the Reddit example from SmalltalkHub (Monticello), it fails with: This package depends on the following classes: DescriptorSystem You must resolve these dependencies before you will be able to load these definitions: RedditSchema allTableNames classModelForRedditLink: constructAllClasses descriptorForRedditLink: tableForREDDIT_LINKS: and also tried loading mcz file directly that fails to. If I try to install using: MCHttpRepository location: 'http://smalltalkhub.com/mc/SvenVanCaekenberghe/Reddit/main' user: '' password: '' It fails with an incorrect url: http://http ... when attempting to pull some package. This is using Pharo 4. Thanks
