The recent improvements by Andrei to the spotter interface made it easy to improve CodePanel. Learning GT - Glamorous Toolkit

Hello, I have watched most all of the videos about GT. I am interested in learning how to use the Glamorous Toolkit. I am failing to find a beginning place for learning how to use and program GT. I am probably overlooking it some where. I have downloaded the gtoolkit.image to begin learning. I am currently browsing code to learn what I can from there. Any advise on documentation or best way to proceed in learning GT greatly appreciated. Thanks. Jimmie

Integrating a custom spotter, reusing current code

In the CodePanel demo, I now managed to add some spotter integration by copy-pasting some code from GTSpotter and adding actLogic. Also, how do I get to a list of the implementers/senders/references/etc of the method/class? What is the improved and approved way to do this :) ? Stephan

Can't build image on Windows (Zinc issue?)

Hi guys, Iâm opening the image from a script that automates the build. In Linus and OS X all goes fine but in windows, opening it from git-bash, Iâm having this problem. Does anybody knows what can be causing this? World.st has a new admin

The admin duties have now been handed over to Sean DeNigris who kindly volunteered to look after the www.world.st web presence as well as the Nabble archived mailing list forums on forum.world.st. As mentioned in a previous post, I did establish The World of Smalltalk some years ago I have now unfortunately too many other things on my plate. Hi, FM*MultivalueLink has a very confusing printOn: method ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ FM*MultivalueLink>>printOn: aStream self asArray printOn: aStream ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Converting it to array means that when I see a variable in the inspector it describes itself as array which is quite confusing. Hello Pharo Hackers, i am working my way through the wonderful pharocast videos and came across a video about UI building with polymorph. In this video a class UITheme ist used. Looking around in the system browser of Pharo 4.0 i can not find this class. Is this class renamed or is some other class used for this purpose now? I am working on a dvd database and a connection to the sqlite database is working with read and write access. I now need a GUI for my Application. I am thinking about documenting my steps. Maybe ot could help others finding there way. Yours sincerely, Fabian

Hello, I'm trying DynaCASE modeling platform in latest Pharo 5 installing with the following script: Metacello new baseline: 'DynaCASE'; repository: 'github://dynacase/dynacase/repository'; load. When I click both DC Finite State Machine -> FSM Example Divisibility DC Finite State Machine -> FSM Example Decimal I get MessageNotUnderstood: receiver of "handlesAnnouncement:" is nil So my question is how should I install DynaCASE to get a functional version? shout styler and rubric segment morph

Hello, I want to style smalltalk code inside a rubric text model (such as the one being used Nautilus in Pharo 5) but I want to extend this styling with underlines and highlighting. I notice that rubric added this kind of styling to the text morph and not to the text itself so I think it's not straightforward to modify the styling if I do not have access to the morph or the model from the shout instance (correct me if I'm wrong). Is there a way to extend the classic shout styling to support this kind of styling? maybe extending the RubShoutStylerDecorator? Bests, Miguel
