Changing method icons priorities in nautilus

Hi, is it a good idea to have the test icon have higher priority than overrides (is overriding parent method/the method is overriden by a child) â Because the state of the test is also available from: 1) the test class itself 2) TestRunner (and one of the two I will have open regardless) And often a method affects more than one test so the icon is not representative of the state anyway. On the other hand if I want to reach the overriden method it's much harder because I have to open new browser, click on the class, find the method. So would it make sense to swap the priority? There's long standing issue in the tracker with having multiple icons per method, but resolving that from UI perspective is perhaps not as easy... (The remaining priorities seem ok... higher number = more important) â Peter

is " #^ " legal syntax?

All, I just hit a case where I needed to return the caret character "^" as a Symbol. However simply doing something like method ^ #^. doesn't work. Even inspecting the symbol itself #^ inspect. doesn't work. "Quoting" the caret works fine: method ^ #'^'. So I'm wondering whether #^ (w/o) quoting is considered to be legal syntax and it's a parser "bug" or whether it's invalid by definition CU, Udo

Hi all, I just released Mathex 0.2 (https://github.com/juliendelplanque/mathex/releases/tag/0.2) Here are the improvements: - Made preview in GT-Inspector asynchronous. - Improved LaTeX code generated for compilation. - Mathex Rewriter is now loadable using 'MLoader loadRewriter'. - Removed greek letters globals, replaced them by #symbol asMathex. - Added some tests. - Some more refactoring. Documentation on Mathex-Rewriter package will be available soon on the wiki. In a nutshell it allows to write 'Mathex smalltalk' ie using literals without having to send explicitly #asMathex messages on them. So: ($b asMathex negated pm: #Delta asMathex sqrt) // (2 asMathex ,, $a asMathex) can be wrote: ($b negated pm: #Delta sqrt) // (2 ,, $a) to generate: '\frac{- b \pm\sqrt{\Delta}}{ 2 a }' if you use Mathex-Rewriter. It comes with a GUI (see attachment) that allows to write both Smalltalk and "Mathex-Smalltalk". Regards, Julien

Hi guys I want to let you that there will be a new pharo lecture in YaoundÃ©. I presented Pharo during a seminar and the previous minister of education was there and asked us to do a lecture in June. We did it with Damien C. by skype. And now there is an official lecture at YaoundÃ© given by Prof. Metalagia. This is an excellent news. In Togo my first visit was quite successful: 120 participants to the conferences I gave (it was still vacation time there). There were 60 students following lectures from 8h to 17h during 4 days... Yes I'm exhausted. A new Pharo lecture will start in north Togo. I will go back in December. One of the idea is to help students to get good in Pharo and build web app and other. There is a competition AppTogo. People are learning C# and others. I hope that some students will com

The gouverment in really pushing in that direction. There is a competition AppTogo. People are learning C# and other languages. So nothing is that easy :). I hope that some students will compete with Pharo so I will be looking for potential mentors to help them. Because I will be busy working on the mooc and other actions. Giving them advices, pointing them to the right solution/framework and may be a bit of pair programming if skype works. I distributed the Pharo Starter Kit (we will announce it officially now that I have 10 gb space on my server) People loved the Youtube videos folder I'm collecting. Yes internet is a pain there and avoiding to crawl on a slow internet is a plus. In addition the videos shows that our community is doing crazy stuff. Chloupis I put your great youtube tutorial! Problem Loading Roassal 2 development in Pharo 4

Hi all, I cannot load Roassal2 development in Pharo 4, itâs missing the GTExampleFinder class (full message below). I can proceed through and still get a reasonably working version though (I guess without some examples, have not tried it as I donât need them) Would it be possible to fix the development version so that it loads in Pharo 4?
