Hi, I ran into a freeze issue when trying to save and/or quit an image after loading Seaside3 and Zinc (not an infrequent combination :) The cause seems to be that terminating processes in a `shutDown` handler (called on image shutdown / snapshot) leads to a deadlock (somewhere). Both Comet and Zinc will send #terminate to a process when an image is quit or saved. If I disable one of those, the deadlock does not occur. I managed to reconstruct the issue with a simple example, attached. The attached Freeze class creates two processes (that loop with a Delay>>wait inside) in the `startUp` method (on image start). These processes are terminated by the shutdown method (called on image quit/save). However, when you try to quit and/or save the image, you will experience an image freeze. Iâm not familiar with the process scheduler, or anything else in this contextâ¦ so help would be appreciated while I try to dive further into it :) To reproduce: just file in the attached file in a Pharo7 image and try to quit. For reference, System Reporter output for my configuration. Any ideas? Citezen (bibtex) reading - issue with optional comma after last tag

Hi all, I came across Citezen and its ability to read arbitrary bibtex files. While playing around, I noticed that the version available from the Pharo catalog cannot handle the optional finishing comma after the last tag. E.g. (from http://www.bibtex.org/Format/) Just adding the trailing comma would result in a SmaCCParserError (Token not expected). @article{mrx05, auTHor = "Mr. X", Title = {Something Great}, publisher = "nob" # "ody", YEAR = 2005, } Are you aware of any newer versions of Citezen? I tried to fix it on my own, but was not able to. Zinc-AWS - problem writing bucket, ZnAWSS3RequestSignatureTool old or how to change authorization mechanism

I try to save data in amazon s3 by using Svens package 'Zinc-AWS'. I created a bucket in s3 and can read it from pharo. But when I want to save data from pharo the requests response is <?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?> <Error><Code>InvalidRequest</Code><Message>The authorization mechanism you have provided is not supported. Please use AWS4-HMAC-SHA256.</Message><RequestId>....</RequestId><HostId>....</HostId></Error> I see that ZnAWSS3RequestSignatureTool uses (HMAC on: SHA1 new). Here I have problems to go further and do not know if/how I have to change the authorization mechanism. Or is the ZnAWSS3RequestSignatureTool old? Anyone having a hint or working code snippet for me? Sven could you perhaps have a look?

Loading and saving Matlab .mat files

Good evening all, Is there any class dealing with Matlab files??? I'm porting a python simulation program that reads and writes from/to .mat files (using scipy loadmat and savemat) and such class would be extremely interesting. Hello Jesus Mari I am doing a new installation of JupyterTalk in a Pharo7 environment curl get.pharo.org/64/70+vm | bash Then installation of Jupytertalk. I get a permission error. Even if I give very liberal permissions it does not work. How are the permissions set in your installation? Regards Hannes

Spec Layout Help

Hello, How might one achieve a fixed width column containing fixed width widgets within a resizable row using Spec Layouts? For example: <--- Resizable Space --->| Fixed Width |<---Resizable Space ---> Where the Fixed Width space might have something like a left justified input field and a right justified button or something. The best I can achieve is everything resizable, which Spec excels at! I have tried adding three columns to the row with the center column a fixed width (newColumn:width:), but I can't seem to get it centered. I have even tried adding dummy widgets as in the code below, which creates a resizable column taking up the first half of the space, followed by a fixed width (100) input field, followed by another resizable space (sharing the right half of the column with the fixed width column): LayoutPractice>>defaultSpec ^ SpecColumnLayout composed newRow: [:row | row newColumn: [ :col | col add: #spacer1 height: 30 ]; newColumn: [ :col | col add: #inputField height: 30] width: 100; newColumn: [ :col | col add: #spacer2 height: 30 ]; yourself ] height: 50; newRow: [:row | row add: #list ]; yourself If this is not possible, could I allow the window to resize vertically but not horizontally (I have a ListPresenter below problematic row which would be nice to resize vertically)? Hi all, I'm trying to do what subject says. Iceberg - better control of project name?

Hi - Iâve just noticed a small issue with the latest iceberg - or at least its confusing. The Exercism project - is in a repo specified by them - its exercism/pharo.git And when I check it out using the latest iceberg using the GitHub option - I specify an Owner of âexercismâ and a project name âpharoâ to get it to properly check out. However in the iceberg window this then appears as a project called âpharoâ which is very misleading when there is the master âPharoâ project for all of pharo. (See photo) There doesnât seem to be a way to override the display of this name to make it âexercism/pharoâ - and Iâm wondering if Iceberg should handle this a bit better - either by showing {owner}/{project} or letting you give a better name in the definition to override what is shown?
