Hi, Today I released the version v1.3.0 of MaterialDesignLite for Seaside. (https://github.com/DuneSt/MaterialDesignLite) The main changes are: - Compatibility with Gemstone (Except for the extensions using only Traits) - Improvement of the test coverage (coverage raised from 3 to 61% with now 485 tests) - More demos to discover features - More feature on Cells This release is tagged with v1.3.0 and I also introduced tags v1.3.x and v1.x.x which are moving tags following patch and minor versions. I am neither an expert nor do I know what the reasoning behind the naming initially was. But my initial thought about your question was that a single method named tesXXX is actually a test, and the class containing all these tests is intended to check the assertions that are formulated in the individual tests. So the TestCase contains a number of tests and makes sure they can be run and probed. Not sure this is related to truth in any way, however... Joachim

Why is the root class of tests named TestAsserter?

Hi, I am trying to understand how classes in smalltalk projects are named. Something I can hardly understand is why the root class of the Test hierarchy is named TestAsserter? What is the intention behind the term Asserter? Wouldnât it be more appropriate to name it AbstractTest since most classes of this hierarchy are Tests? Many thanks in advance Abdelghani

finding dependees of a package

Hi, I know I can "Browse Dependencies" of a particular package, but this only shows me the dependencies of the selected package X. What I am looking for is a list of packages that depend on X ... is that possible? Thanks, Peter

GLM: preserving columns width in tables // getting the actual column

Hi All, I would like to preserve the width of columns for tables after a user has changed them (not fast tables, but it should be similar). To do this I plan to get the actual width of the columns and use it the next time I need to create the table. Please consider the following snippet: browser := GLMTabulator new. browser row: #Example. browser transmit to: #Example; andShow: [ :a | *table*:= a table. table column: 'Class Name' evaluated:[:clazz| clazz name] width:100; column: '# of methods' evaluated:[:clazz| clazz methods size] width:150; children:[:clazz| clazz subclasses]; shouldRootsExpand: true ]. browser openOn: {Object}. If I resize the columns in the UI and then run *table* columns collect:[:c| c width] I get the original sizes but not the actual ones. I have two questions: 1- Is there a way to get the actual values for column width? 2 - Is there an event that gets fired when column sizes are changed in the UI? If there is such an event maybe all that is needed it to update the width inst. var in the columns (GLMTableColumns). TIA Arturo

Pharo 7alpha and XMLParser Inspector Error

Hi All, There appears to be a problem viewing XML documents / nodes in the inspector when using XMLParser (catalog version) in the latest Pharo 7. When running the following: ```smalltalk xml := 'https://www.w3schools.com/xml/note.xml' asUrl retrieveContents. document := XMLDOMParser parse: xml. document inspect. ``` I'm getting an error that looks like it comes from: XMLDocumentHighlightDefaults class >> #textColorForShoutProperty: The method appears to rely on SHTextStylerST80, which I guess no longer exists in Pharo 7. -- Eric

IceGenericError: SecureTransport error: I/O error

Hi, I don't know if this has been reported. When loading packages in Pharo 6.1 (Iceberg 1.2.1), through Metacello script in MacOS High Sierra (10.13.4) I receive this error "LGit_GIT_ERROR: SecureTransport error: I/O error." I tried with setting and unsetting these parameters before the loading expression: Iceberg enableMetacelloIntegration: true; remoteTypeSelector: #httpsUrl. But the behavior is the same. If I go back through the stack and restart from withReturnHandlerDo: then the loading continues. Any idea? Cheers, HernÃ¡n

Tonel difficulty

Iâve created a new repository and chose to use tonel for its file format. But as in my previous attempts I cannot make it work. I test my repo with travis for pharo 6.1 and pharo 7. Using SmalltalkCISpec { #loading : [ SCIMetacelloLoadSpec { #baseline : 'ArangoDB', #directory : 'source', #load : [ 'Tests' ], #platforms : [ #pharo ] } ] } it succeeds in pharo7 and fails in pharo 6.1. I think this is because 6.1 cannot handle tonel. But using SmalltalkCISpec { #loading : [ SCIMetacelloLoadSpec { #baseline : 'ArangoDB', #directory : 'source', #load : [ 'Tests' ], #useLatestMetacello: true, #platforms : [ #pharo ] } ] } makes it fail in pharo 7 as well.
