Someone broke startup scripts on ubuntu

Machine Learning in Pharo

I saw a post on pharo-dev a little while ago about adding some machine learning libraries to pharo, and I was just wondering if there have been any developments on that front. Roassal Performance Issues when applying layout

Hello, we are Pablo Polanco and Jorge Ampuero and we are Computer Science students at Universidad de Chile. We are currently taking a course on Robotics Software Engineering dictated by Johan Fabry. We want to visualize a simple directed graph and we are experiencing performance issues when layouting our visualization in Roassal. We provide the report from the Time Profiler when we visualize 13 elements and 38 edges: http://pastebin.com/zsh8YFPx Should it take so much time? How could we improve it? New web tutorial

Hi guys with Olivier Auverlot we did several attempts (over the year) and we are happy to release a first draft of a web tutorial around Pharo. We ask the user to build a simple blog engine. It goes over - Mongo - Seaside - Magritte https://ci.inria.fr/pharo-contribution/job/TinyBlogTutorial/5/artifact/book… Soon Rest/Deployment/Garage?/NeoJSON/XML If you want to participate (translate it to english) or improve it you are welcome. We hope that it will serve as a basis to a lot of Seaside applications. This tutorial will be used in the lecture I'm giving next weeks in Togo and will be edited as a lulu book. Stef and Olivier.

I assume it is simple but I don't get it: Entering this in the web browser, I get a Json string in the web browser: http://maps.googleapis.com/maps/api/geocode/json?address=1600+Amphitheatre+… I want to call this from Pharo and I want to use the results within pharo. Can anyone give me a hint? PharoJS - converting to Javascript error

Hello. I am trying to convert my Pharo (4.0) classes to Javascript. I wrote a Pharo PBE-LightsOut application as book PBE. Initially converted LOCell and LoGame classes. Loaded these classes in a browser from an index.html and accused lack of SimpleSwitchMorph, SimpleButtonMorph and BorderedMorph. Command to convert: JbSmalltalkToJavaScriptExporter exportClasses: {BorderedMorph } packages: #() inNewFileNamed: 'BorderedMorph.js' Converting BorderedMorph this error occurs: MessageNotUndestood: WorldMorph >> javaScriptName The other classes were converted to JavaScript without problems. Appreciate any help. thank you
