Mooc bugs
by stepharo May 8, 2016

May 8, 2016

When I type foo "bar" in the editing pain of the System Browser, and then delete the second '"' I get the same error as the OP. When I try to exit the System Browser a debugger oppens up with a "Subscript out of bounds" and then the system locks up. I was on 32 bit Windows 7 when this happened. Stef

UFFIOpenGL binding and Woden is now working in Pharo 5
by Ronie Salgado May 7, 2016

May 7, 2016

Hello, I made new OpenGL bindings for Pharo 5 using the UFFI (Available at: http://smalltalkhub.com/#!/~ronsaldo/UFFIOpenGL ). Unlike the old NBOpenGL, these new bindings make a heavy use of OSWindow SDL2 which is integrated and enabled by default in the Pharo 5 image. These bindings do not provide a way to create an OpenGL context or to create a Morphic window using OpenGL unlike NBOpenGL. For testing quickly OpenGL in Pharo 5, it should be enough to do the following in the playground: (ConfigurationOfOSWindow project version: #stable) load: 'WithOpenGLAndExamples'. (Smalltalk at: #OSGLExampleBasic3) new. As for Woden, it is now working in Pharo 5 with the UFFI. For loading Woden in a Pharo 5 image, is enough to do the following in the playground (Also available at the Woden Smalltalkhub page): Gofer new smalltalkhubUser: 'ronsaldo' project: 'Woden'; package: 'ConfigurationOfWoden'; load. (Smalltalk at: #ConfigurationOfWoden) loadBleedingEdge. For an example the following script should be executed in a Playground: WDFPSSimpleExample6 new open. Greetings, Ronie

Hi, is there some guide / help how to extend the GTDebugger? I tried to take a look at SUnit/PParser but it looks quite complex⦠certainly more complex than extending Inspector. :) Thanks, Peter

by Esteban A. Maringolo May 6, 2016

May 6, 2016

Who is in charge of the Jenkins installation for http://ci.inria.fr/dbxtalk. I'm trying to modify certain projects and I'm getting the following error: Error JSONObject["scm"] is not a JSONObject. I tried some hacks to make it work, but no luck. Did this happen to somebody else? How to fix it? Regards! Esteban A. Maringolo

About PharoInProgress book
by stepharo May 6, 2016

May 6, 2016

Hi I tried to fix the build on jenkins but I failed. I do not know how to fix it. I do not know how to fix. Probably the changes in Pillar broke it. Now since Damien will quit our team, I wonder what will be the future of pillar, may be markdown and for me LaTeX Stef ./AWS.tex:40: LaTeX Error: Environment listing undefined. See the LaTeX manual or LaTeX Companion for explanation. Type H <return> for immediate help. ... l.40 \begin{listing} [language=smalltalk] Your command was ignored. Type I <command> <return> to replace it with another command, or <return> to continue without it. ./AWS.tex:53: LaTeX Error: \begin{document} ended by \end{listing}. See the LaTeX manual or LaTeX Companion for explanation. Type H <return> for immediate help. ... l.53 \end{listing} Your command was ignored. Disable formatting per-method (via pragma?)
by Peter Uhnák May 6, 2016

May 6, 2016

Hi, I use formatter all the time as I like to have uniform code. Because it's not perfect I sometimes purposefully replace things like {(#a -> #b). (#c -> #d)} with Array with: #a -> #b with: #c -> #d just so I have better control of the formatting... However sometimes (especially for code intended for playground) it's best to not apply the formatting at all. As I have already developed the habit of autoformatting it's a bit hard to not apply it sometimes. Would it be possible to add a pragma to the method or something... <BlueInk: #disabled> or something that wouldn't apply the formatting? Thanks, Peter
