BlueInk shouldn't add parentheses when not needed
by Peter Uhnák May 10, 2016

May 10, 2016

Hi, I thought that I already asked about this but apparently not... Right now when I have an array like observations := { MElement -> { #change -> #(name owner uuid). #add -> #(). #remove -> #() }. MContainer -> { #change -> #(). #add -> #(add:). #remove -> #(remove:). }. }. it gets formatted into observations := {(MElement -> {(#change -> #(#name #owner #uuid)). (#add -> #()). (#remove -> #())}). (MContainer -> {(#change -> #()). (#add -> #(#add:)). (#remove -> #(#remove:))})}. Which is really ugly with all the _uneeded_ parenthesis. I tried to look into BlConfigurableFormatter>>needsParenthesisFor: where it is being added, but any change I try to make I end up breaking some test as the behavior is not very obvious for me. Can this be changed/fixed easily? And second, perhaps less important... do we really need to reformat #(name owner uuid) into #(#name #owner #uuid)? Seems a bit superfluous too. Thanks, Peter

Bug in NeoCSV?
by Alexandre Bergel May 9, 2016

May 9, 2016

Hi Sven, There is apparently a problem in NeoCSVReader. #codepoint is apparently missing The following code raises an exception: urlAsString := 'http://bit.ly/exampleCSV'. content := (ZnEasy get: urlAsString) contents readStream. lines := (NeoCSVReader on: content) skipHeader; upToEnd. I loaded NeoCSV using: Gofer new smalltalkhubUser: 'SvenVanCaekenberghe' project: 'Neo'; package: 'ConfigurationOfNeoCSV'; load. (Smalltalk at: #ConfigurationOfNeoCSV) loadBleedingEdge. Any idea? XMLParser changes
by Cyril Ferlicot Delbecque May 9, 2016

May 9, 2016

Hi, last week there was a new stable version of XMLParser and some tests broke in some tools. I think that there was a regression in this version. Snippet: (XMLDOMParser parse: '<?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?> <Clones> <ClonedFragment cloneName="test"> <Member fileName="ProgramA"/> <Member fileName="ProgramB"/> </ClonedFragment> <ClonedFragment cloneName="test2"> <Member fileName="ProgramA"/> <Member fileName="ProgramB"/> </ClonedFragment> </Clones>') elements first nodes With the release 2.7.4 we get 2 nodes but in release 2.7.6 we get 5 nodes. The 2 previous ones and 3 empty String nodes. I think this is not what we expect. Correct me if I am wrong :) -- Cyril Ferlicot http://www.synectique.eu 165 Avenue Bretagne Lille 59000 France

Improving FileSystem. Storgae API
by stepharo May 8, 2016

May 8, 2016

After discussion with me and esteban Valentin proposed the following: https://pharo.fogbugz.com/f/cases/18157/ModificationTime-creationTime-size the idea is to improve getter names and not setters name for getters. I reviewed it and it looks ok for me Stef
