Hello all, Thanks thanks thanks for Pharo 5. Each year, from September to November, my students are learning Pharo with the last release. And as you know, beginners and naive users are very good at stressing a software :) Previous years I faced issues due to Pharo bugs (especially because of Nautilus but not only). Since 2 weeks, no issue at all regarding Pharo, a real pleasure. So this mail is just to thank all of you who made this cool release. Cheers Alain

Hello, We have *a lot* (really a lot!!) half-finished, âdiscussion stopped in the middleâ kind of issues on the issue tracker. It would *really* be nice if people could check older issues and push for a conclusion! It is *much* easier to finish issues for those who spend already time on it as opposed to someone reading and following the whole discussion. Ombu losing file on folder renaming

Hi Martin I often get Information Ombu: Couldn't write entry, since FileDoesNotExist: File @ /Users/ducasse/Workspace/FirstCircle/ActiveResearch/Pharo/PharoHarvestingFixes/60/current/pharo-local/ombu-sessions/Pharo_ajxqkxc.ombu And this happens when I save and close the image, renamed the folder and reopen the image. Interrupting process which hangs on recursion

We had discussion on reasons why cmd+. is not always working. I made simple test which shows that VM is not issue. Following code normally stops after 20 seconds: hanging := [1 seconds wait. 1 recursionTest] newProcess. hanging priority: Processor activePriority + 10. interruptor := [ 20 seconds wait. hanging suspend] newProcess. interruptor priority: Processor activePriority + 11. hanging resume. interruptor resume. Recursion method: Integer>>recursionTest self recursionTest Hanging process produces 7 million contexts on my machine: c := hanging suspendedContext. count := 1. [ c notNil ] whileTrue: [ c := c sender. count := count + 1 ]. count Â«7395279" But if you try to debug it by "hanging debug" you will see how it is slow. It's caused by printing stack to file. Interesting that logging is performed before opening debugger. So every time we press cmd+. we are waiting logging to see debugger. We need to change this logic. Best regards, Denis
