Fuel Materialization Error
by Sean P. DeNigris Sept. 11, 2017

Sept. 11, 2017

I'm trying to serialize in Pharo 4.0 and materialize in Pharo 6.1. Although both images claim Fuel 194, when materializing I'm getting: "KeyNotFound: key #FLMethodContextCluster not found in SystemDictionary". Anyone know what the problem is? Thanks! ----- Cheers, Sean -- Sent from: http://forum.world.st/Pharo-Smalltalk-Developers-f1294837.html

Pending FileSystem PRs (was: [Pharo-users] Pharo 6 FileSystem>>changeDirectory: is missing)
by Alistair Grant Sept. 10, 2017

Hi Stef, (I've moved this to pharo-dev) On Sat, Sep 09, 2017 at 11:09:55AM +0200, Stephane Ducasse wrote: > Alistair > > did I miss some pending PR to be integrated for FS? I'm not aware of any pending PRs at the moment. The issues that are still open are: - Default Working Directory https://pharo.fogbugz.com/f/cases/5723/ Waiting on FFI to be added to the kernel. Do you know what the status of that is? There's also been a request to extend the PR to allow the directory to be changed. Hopefully Rajula can add this. - https://pharo.fogbugz.com/f/cases/20294/Add-FileAttributesPlugin-to-the-lin… Eliot kindly made lots of recommendations on how to improve the VM plugin which I've done and sent back to Eliot. - https://pharo.fogbugz.com/f/cases/19609/FileReference-base-should-be-before… It is probably worthwhile you taking a look at this one. Updating CI plugins
by Guillermo Polito Sept. 10, 2017

Sept. 10, 2017

Hi all, I'm updating several CI plugins related to Multibranch builds. Since Jenkins is moving fast is this direction, it is healthy that we follow updates regularly. Bloc Shock
by Sean P. DeNigris Sept. 10, 2017

Sept. 10, 2017

I was playing with Bloc when I came across the following: <http://forum.world.st/file/t128965/Screenshot_2017-08-31_14.jpeg> I am taken aback by the elegance and utility of this widget, and also aware of all the countless steps we took to have it appear there - Bloc, GT, etc, etc. It feels like proof of the synergy of moving one step forward every day. Thanks to all. ----- Cheers, Sean -- Sent from: http://forum.world.st/Pharo-Smalltalk-Developers-f1294837.html

Changing pharo default branch to development
by Guillermo Polito Sept. 10, 2017

Sept. 10, 2017

As we discussed in ESUG, and since this is a cheap change to do in the airport, we are making the development branch in pharo the default branch. This will help avoiding accidental pull requests targeting master instead of development. For those who may ask, we will not remove the master branch yet. This is because we are in the airport doing this and we would like to give it a better thought :). STON: SortedCollection Bug?
by Sean P. DeNigris Sept. 9, 2017

Sept. 9, 2017

I serialized aSortedCollection with a sort block comparing via a #startTime message on the domain objects. When I attempted to materialize it, I got an error that my domain objects don't understand #<=. It seems that the elements are being loaded before the sort block. ----- Cheers, Sean -- Sent from: http://forum.world.st/Pharo-Smalltalk-Developers-f1294837.html

[ANN] Git Thermite
by Ronie Salgado Sept. 7, 2017

Sept. 7, 2017

Hello, I am releasing an initial version of Git Thermite, the GitHub pull request visualization that I presented at IWST. SmalltalkHub page: http://smalltalkhub.com/#!/~ronsaldo/GitHubAPI Script for loading Git Thermite: Gofer it smalltalkhubUser: 'ronsaldo' project: 'GitHubAPI'; configurationOf: 'GitStats'; loadBleedingEdge For visualizing a GitHub pull request, you can use the dialog on the World menu -> Git Thermite -> Visualize pull request. The GitHub access credential can be entered through the System Settings. I recommend to generate a GitHub API secret token instead of using your GH password for the access token. https://github.com/blog/1509-personal-api-tokens Because this project is for my Master Thesis, and I need to gather experimental data to validate the visualization, I will ask to the people at Lille to not experiment with this tool until I test it with you during the next two weeks at Lillle. The current implementation is quite hackish because I am building this in an exploratory way. Later I will make a full rewrite to clean the tool and make it easy to extend and experiment with more visualizations with it. Best regards, Ronie
