Re: [Pharo-project] Some issues with Pharo-dev build #10243
by Dale Henrichs Feb. 26, 2009

Feb. 26, 2009

Stef, I posted a more detailed problem description to the OmniBrowser list and David has an update that fixes the problem (in OmniBrowser-dr.442). I'll verify the fix later today. Presumably OmniBrowser-dr.442 will be included in the next development drop, if not I will submit a bug. [Pharo-project] Pharo scripting -- reborn as "Coral"
by Oscar Nierstrasz Feb. 26, 2009

Feb. 26, 2009

Hi Folks, I spent some time yesterday together with Stef to take a closer look at the Pharo scripting project. We have repackaged and renamed the project as "Coral". It is available on SqueakSource at: http://www.squeaksource.com/Coral You can now load it simply into a fresh Pharo-dev image by evaluating: ScriptLoader new installer ss project: 'Coral'; install: 'LoadCoral'. This will load everything that is required and pop up a few Workspace windows with further instructions. (You will need John McIntosh's latest VM to get this to work -- all is described in the image.) There is also a window with TO-DO items. I am interested in starting a student project to really make this fly, so I would be grateful for your suggestions and desiderata. If you are a potential user, please try it out and let me know what you would expect from a real Smalltalk scripting environment. Thanks again to Mathieu and Gwenaël for getting this to work! [Pharo-project] 10243: error related to OB in the transcript
by Alexandre Bergel Feb. 26, 2009

Feb. 26, 2009

Hi! When I accept methods definition in OB, I have some printout: ERROR: SAXCModule class>>superSenderSelectors ERROR: SAXCModule class>>overridesSelectors ERROR: SAXCModule class>>conflictsSelectors ERROR: SAXCModule class>>suppliedSelectors ERROR: SAXCModule class>>superSenderSelectors ERROR: SAXCModule class>>overridesSelectors ERROR: SAXCModule class>>conflictsSelectors ERROR: SAXCModule class>>suppliedSelectors ERROR: CAnalyzerTest class>>superSenderSelectors ERROR: CAnalyzerTest class>>conflictsSelectors ERROR: CAnalyzerTest class>>overridesSelectors ERROR: CAnalyzerTest class>>suppliedSelectors Maybe this is related to the dynamic protocol recently introduced (which is an excellent thing). I use a 10243. Issue #607 Cheers, Alexandre -- _,.;:~^~:;._,.;:~^~:;._,.;:~^~:;._,.;:~^~:;._,.;: Alexandre Bergel http://www.bergel.eu ^~:;._,.;:~^~:;._,.;:~^~:;._,.;:~^~:;._,.;:~^~:;.

[Pharo-project] looking for Unicode testers
by Michael Rueger Feb. 26, 2009

Feb. 26, 2009

Hi all, finally I have something to look at :-) http://impara.de/michael/unicode.zip It is the pharo one click with a modified (slightly outdated) image and an updated Unix VM. The image is not cleaned up at all, just so you are warned ;-) Please try out this version on different platforms and check if unicode keyboard input, clipboard copy and paste as well as filenames are working. There are probably still plenty of bugs in there, that's why I need extra testers :-) Please also point out any existing patches I missed to include in this image. Enjoy Michael

Re: [Pharo-project] [squeak-dev] Known bug with text editor and scroll ?
by Mariano Martinez Peck Feb. 25, 2009

Feb. 25, 2009

Thanks for the help Steve. I look in mantis bugs and I found exactly the same bug I was going to report. I noticed it was fixed and a .cs attached. I tried it and work like a charm. http://bugs.squeak.org/view.php?id=5637 So, now, the question is....will this .cs be included in future squeak images ? I mean, how is the process for the bug fixes ? when are the fixes put in the images ? thanks for the help. [Pharo-project] MessageNotUnderstood: UndefinedObject>>includes:
by Hilaire Fernandes Feb. 25, 2009

I have this kind of error which appear randomly when I am instantiating and displaying in real world a Morph. Next from the morph is deduced Form field to use as the basis of a PNG image for Seaside canvas. It is easy to fix (or a least prevent the error) but it is system land... so I am curious to read if other meet this problem. See debuglog -- http://blog.ofset.org/hilaire

[Pharo-project] ScreenController Removed with Issue #610
by Rob Rothwell Feb. 25, 2009

Feb. 25, 2009

Hello, I almost did everything right I think, following the directions at http://code.google.com/p/pharo/wiki/HowToContribute. If I did, I believe SLICE-remove-ScreenController-RobRothwell.2 should effectively remove ScreenController from the system. Please check it out when you get the time; it required small changes changes to Morphic, Graphics, ST80, and System. I forgot to set the status to "Fixed," however, and can't figure out how to do that! Take care, Rob
