You certainly noticed a lot of Closure related tests fail. A few because of unavailable BlockContext API in BlockClosure... (most are fixed yet) But mainly because of tests messing with: MethodContext>>#runSimulated:contextAtEachStep: I think something is broken there... One missing or not up to date change from Eliot probably. Also there is a problem in the debugger: when halted in a Closure, executing restart then proceed won't restart correclty: Example: 1) Execute this : (ScriptLoader new buildConfigurationMapFor: #('foobar.blast')) load 2) Open the debugger (click debug) 3) select top but one context [] in ScriptLoader>>buildConfigurationMapFor: 4) click restart, then proceed You get Character doesNotUnderstand: #encodeForHttp a real mess, as if evaluating the code in wrong context...

Ok Michael asked er, where is it broken this morning. So as he is making the official fix I'll supply a hack so that people don't loose their minds over the issue. The offical fix will override all this, but it will get mac users back on track this morning. First of all you need to do InputEventSensor startup so the class variables get initialized, the usual case of "sure my startup class method runs, doesn't it?" Add this method InputEventSensor>>processMenuEvent: evt | handler localCopyOfEvt | localCopyOfEvt := evt clone. handler := (HostSystemMenus defaultMenuBarForWindowIndex: (localCopyOfEvt at: 8)) getHandlerForMenu: (localCopyOfEvt at: 3) item: (localCopyOfEvt at: 4). [[handler handler value: localCopyOfEvt] ifError: [:err :rcvr | ]] forkAt: Processor activePriority. Hi! Before that refactoring and traits implementation stuff did you do any Call Graph Optimization? I mean, in Smalltalk, especially Squeak as being a 'reflective' language this should be done first to minimize cross side incompatiblity effects with older squeak packages, which happen to appear all the time. regards, Guido Stepken

Hi, Igor! I've got a *brand new* design idea for PHARO ;-) All events (keyboard, mouse, network etc.) should be read by a separate process, which i call ... hmmmm ... "event dispatcher". Brilliant name, isn't it? That one reads the event from the operating system, puts it into a per-windowgroup "event-queue", and notifies the "view process" or "network process" about the arrival of the event. That one sits on a semaphore, waiting for the arrival. regards, Guido Stepken

Hi guys, I just loaded the newest pharo-dev, together with Exupery VM from link on pharo website but I cannot swap the mouse button on preferences at all. If I click swapMouseButtons enabled and save, right mouse still doesn't work. What can be the problem? I'm on openSuse 11.1, KDE and so far swapping the mouse works both on the squeak and previous Pharo images. Is there some problem with new VM? [Pharo-project] Pharo windows unresponsive while busy?

Hi! When i paste that stuff into workspace, let it run, all other open windows tasks freeze. (Windows XP, newest VM, newest Pharo patches) That makes Pharo pretty unusable for programming, testing, debugging ... [Pharo-project] Class not showing in the browser

Hi, I'm having a problem when filing in classes from Squeak, the do not appear in the browser althoug they are in the image. Does somebody know how to fix it? BTW, I fixed a bug when trying to redefine a class. If you press the button "Cancel" (not the option cancel) it does not work. How do I summit the fix? (sorry for asking this to the list, but I do not have too much time to look in the web page to see how to do it...) Hernan.
