[Pharo-project] Syntax highlighting changed in 10500?
by Simon Denier Dec. 15, 2009

Dec. 15, 2009

Why did the colors change in syntax highlighting for 10500? Especially, there is no more color-based discrimination between a class name, a local variable, a parameter, or an instance variable. I think it is a regression. -- Simon

[Pharo-project] Ugly disabled buttons
by Adrian Lienhard Dec. 15, 2009

Dec. 15, 2009

The disabled buttons look ugly with the new strike fonts. Does somebody know what the reason is and how to fix it? We cannot ship Pharo like this... Cheers, Adrian

People so far that agreed on supporting the Pharo project with â¬10/month: Alex Schenkman Marcus Denker Francois Stephany Mariano Martinez Peck Original thread: http://n2.nabble.com/Let-s-hire-a-Pharo-developer-tp4161222p4161222.html Let's hire a developer -- View this message in context: http://n2.nabble.com/40-and-counting-come-on-we-can-do-it-tp4167194p4167194… Sent from the Pharo Smalltalk mailing list archive at Nabble.com.

[Pharo-project] One-Click Experience ...
by GeertClaes Dec. 15, 2009

Dec. 15, 2009

Really like the one-click experience, great!!! Looks and feels so much better. Maybe the image also needs to include Seaside, AIDAWeb, Magritte and Pier though no? ps. It would be nice to see Pharo use a "Pharo VM" instead of the Squeak VM (I am on Mac) though :) -- View this message in context: http://n2.nabble.com/One-Click-Experience-tp4168628p4168628.html Sent from the Pharo Smalltalk mailing list archive at Nabble.com.

[Pharo-project] Let's hire a Pharo developer
by alesch Dec. 15, 2009

Dec. 15, 2009

I'm new in the Smalltalk community, and even newer in Pharo. If the following has been discussed before, I have not found it in the archives. What do you think about hiring a developer to work exclusively and full time on Pharo? At ESUG'09 there were about 250 people, and Smalltalks'09 had about the same number of attendees. 100 people paying â¬10/month yields â¬1000/month. I'm not sure, but I think that it is a good salary in Argentina. Let's take advantage (in the good sense) of the vibrant Smalltalk community in Argentina, and the actual state of the euro/peso. For europeans, â¬10 is about two beers. Make it an automatic withdrawal, so once you've taken the desition, you never think about again. I'm the first one in the list. Who else? -- View this message in context: http://n2.nabble.com/Let-s-hire-a-Pharo-developer-tp4161222p4161222.html Sent from the Pharo Smalltalk mailing list archive at Nabble.com.
