[Pharo-project] Rome port
by Michael Rueger Dec. 18, 2009

Dec. 18, 2009

Hi all, there is now a Pharo port of Rome :-) Quite a few things are still untested and probably broken, freetype integration isn't what it should be yet, but it basically works. You will need the RomePlugin for your platform. https://gforge.inria.fr/frs/download.php/25047/RomePlugin.bundle.zip https://gforge.inria.fr/frs/download.php/25046/rome.zip To load: Get these two packages from PharoInbox (for now) Graphics-MichaelRueger.168 FreeType-MichaelRueger.498 To load Rome: Gofer new impara: 'RomePharo'; addPackage: 'Rome-BalloonCanvas'; addPackage: 'Rome-Base'; addPackage: 'Rome-PluginCanvas'; addPackage: 'Rome-Fonts'; addPackage: 'Rome-Demo'; load Make sure that Freetype fonts are loaded: FreeTypeFontProvider current loadFromSystem. RomeFontManager resetDefault There is no support for strike or TT fonts (yet). Michael

[Pharo-project] MetacelloRepository is online
by Esteban Lorenzano Dec. 18, 2009

Dec. 18, 2009

Hi, I created the project MetacelloRepository as a centralized repository for meta-packages, and started uploading metacello configurations. MCHttpRepository location: 'http://www.squeaksource.com/MetacelloRepository' user: '' password: '' Currently, I uploaded three projects: 1) ConfigurationOfFFI 2) ConfigurationOfSqueakDBX 3) ConfigurationOfGlorpDBX The whole idea of this is to have a project catalog working (like apt-get), so I encourage you to use it! The tools to manage on a fashion way this repository are comming, please be patient :) Cheers, Esteban

[Pharo-project] New packages to MetacelloRepository
by Mariano Martinez Peck Dec. 18, 2009

Dec. 18, 2009

Hi: I am trying to create the metacello configurations of the external packages to do the pharo dev and web images. For now I have commited: - ConfigurationOfPharoSound - ConfigurationOfPharoMorphicExtras - ConfigurationOfShout But, they are not completed. They are just a first version. There are a lot of things to do. I need to create groups for the tests, etc. I have also started to create (not comitted yet): - ConfigurationOfPharo - ConfigurationOfAutomaticMethodCategorizer - ConfigurationOfRefactoringBrowser - ConfigurationOfOmniBrowser - ConfigurationOfEnhancedOmniBrowser - ConfigurationOfOCompletion (yes Romain we need to merge ;) I will send another email for this) Cheers, Mariano

mariano I was thinking about the problem of managing pharo with metacello we should start with the simple ones: the ones we removed from the system - Sounds - LedMorph - MorphicExamples - (ArchiveViewer) Then check the packages that are shared. May be we can also publish metacello descriptions to load them. and we republish them when they changed. For example for OB I think that lukas publish in squeaksource the latest version colin ships as sar files. So we can publish in the OBSqueakSouce (not sure that this is good) or in pharo a ConfigurationOfOB Stef
