[Pharo-project] FFI/Alien: Structures with arrrayed fields
by Schwab,Wilhelm K March 15, 2010

March 15, 2010

Hello all, I am faced with something like the following: struct complex { double real; imaginary; }; struct ugly { int gratuitousSize; long importantStuff[64]; complex * moreImportantStuff[64]; }; The question is how to explain this to FFI? The closest things I have found always seem to be byte arrays, so the "third element" in the arrays of #fields is not well-revealed. Does anyone know whether it is additive or multiplicative, and/or how to use it to make sense of the above struct? Bill

[Pharo-project] Strange drag behavior (Was Re: [ANN 1.0] RC3! #10515 pre-built core image)
by Igor Stasenko March 15, 2010

March 15, 2010

Guys, i noticed that when i left-clicking on a window title to start dragging it, i need to move mouse at least on 5-10 pixel into any direction before window start moving. If i keep moving in a small radius , around the point where i first clicked on it, it won't move. So, i could even circle endlessly with mouse without any effect :) On 15 March 2010 11:49, Adrian Lienhard <adi(a)netstyle.ch> wrote: > Hi all, > > This is PharoCore RC3 and we need your help! > > The plan is the following: > 1. The question is, what you would do, if you want to represent each item in a list as a morph, so instead of: strings := model items collect: [:each | each asString ]. you doing: subMorphs := model items collect: [:each | each asMorph ]. ... this gives you a freedom to pick any form how represent each item in a list, instead of bare strings. > > Stef > -- Best regards, Igor Stasenko AKA sig.
