Hello, since recently i got access to macs, i were finally able to add NB support for Mac OS. I built the Cog VM with NativeBoost plugin , which you can download at NativeBoost project page [1]. At image side you just load NativeBoost-Installer package and then evaluate: NBInstaller install. Hi all, 6 tests in SystemNavigationTest and SystemNavigationOnNewlyCreatedEnvironementTest are failing in 1.2 This is because of the introduction of SourcedMethodReference. I already speak about this problem here: http://forum.world.st/About-SourcedMethodReference-td3035187.html SourcedMethodReference>>= must not be based on identity (==) because it prevents to have multiple SourcedMethodReference pointing to the same CompiledMethod. And we need that because each tools will use different SourcedMethodReference. IMHO, SourcedMethodReference are just proxies and we don't care of their identity. I made these 6 tests pass by: -replacing MethodReference by SourcedMethodReference in SystemNavigationTest and al... -modifying the equality method of SourcedMethodReference: SourcedMethodReference>>= anotherMethodReference ^ (super = anotherMethodReference) and: [ (self timeStamp = self timeStamp) and: [ self sourceCode = self sourceCode ]] I have no idea of the impact of this change for the SourcedMethodReference stuff point of view. Hi Martin, Looks very interesting. Reading the material you posted, the question that jumps out at me is this: from the benchmarks, it's clear that materializing is faster than serializing, but it's not clear why. How does separating the nodes from the edges of the object graph make materializing faster? Thanks, Colin Hi! Separate the nodes from the edges of the object permit during the serialization to pass only one time on the byte code. So first we pass on the node so we recreate the objects/nodes and second when we pass on the edges we recreate the links between the objects. The adopt functionality should still be available from the menu, because it is a common operation when integrating.

[Pharo-project] Compiling for iOS?

Hi, Sorry to ask such dumb question. I have just download the source from http://squeakvm.org/svn/squeak/trunk and found the Xcode project in the iOS directory is setup to compile for OS X. I tried to search this list for answer but didn't find any question/answer related to this. So my question is that: 1. Am I downloading the iOS source from the right place? 2. If correct, how do I get a xcode project to compile for iOS? Thanks. David Li
