[Pharo-project] [Hudson] 1.2 build
by Marcus Denker Dec. 16, 2010

Dec. 16, 2010

Hi, - the pharo 1.2 (and 1.1) full builds are now triggered by a successful build of the core images (failing tests are ok, failing builds do not trigger) - One-Click of full is now build automatically: https://pharo-ic.lille.inria.fr/hudson/job/Pharo%201.2/20/artifact/PharoOne… - just image and sources are available at this link https://pharo-ic.lille.inria.fr/hudson/job/Pharo%201.2/lastSuccessfulBuild/… - tests are now run on 1.2 full. 24 are failing, of which 12 are from core: https://pharo-ic.lille.inria.fr/hudson/job/Pharo%201.2/lastCompletedBuild/t… Next step: - re-use the core images in the full image builds, do not update again. (saves 5 minutes build time) Later: - build all VMs from source automatically - run tests on MacOS and Windows in addition to linux (to validate the VM and to check that image side is working on all plattforms) -- Marcus Denker -- http://www.marcusdenker.de INRIA Lille -- Nord Europe. [Pharo-project] Web Services - SoapOpera problems
by Cédrick Béler Dec. 16, 2010

Dec. 16, 2010

Hi all, I'd like to try some webservice experiments. I loaded the last version of SoapOpera but then, I struggled a lot and I still can't make it work. First, I needed authentication and I didn't found how to do that in SOAP. I managed to make it work by hacking Kom. Does someone knows how to do that properly or if it's not possible? Second, I just can't make it work (whereas I can in PHP and it's dead simple :( with SoapClient). I have an error message saying that the interface is not known... After investigating a bit, I think that the problem is there is no "interpretation" of the wsdl file that describe the set of services. Can people confirm if I'm wrong or not ? What's the current state of SoapOpera development ? Are there alternatives ? TIA ps: in PHP $client = new SoapClient($WSDL, array('login'=> $LOGIN,'password'=> $PASS)); $client->TDOptionsPromotion( "whatever parameters"); in Smalltalk (not the example I tried but something else that nearly works, except I get one value, the last one, instead of an array of five) call := (SoapCallEntry tcpHost: 'footballpool.dataaccess.eu' port: 80) newCall. call targetObjectURI: 'data/info.wso'. call namespace: 'http://footballpool.dataaccess.eu'. call methodName: 'TopGoalScorers'. call addParameterNamed: 'iTopN' value: '5'. call invokeAndReturn.

(we should really fix reflection as a concept... but that's more research and not engineering... I should continue with that). So this would only make sense on a package by package case. But there it can make sense, yes. What I want to add before test coverage is code-critique style checking. Hi, I'd like to compare url's but it doesn't seem to work (as I expect - Pharo 1.1) ex: 'http://www.pharo-project.org' asUrl = 'http://www.pharo-project.org' asUrl. => false What about having: Url>> = anotherUrl ^self asText = anotherUrl asText Do we need to redefine hash too ? TIA Cédrick
