[Pharo-project] Hudson now Jenkins
by Geert Claes Jan. 31, 2011

Jan. 31, 2011

Since we are using Hudson I was wondering if anyone has been following Hudson's issues with Oracle at all? This is how I understand it; the creator of Hudson (Kohsuke Kawaguchi) and founder of infradna.com (which has now joined forces with Cloudbees - offering Hudson support) has had some disagreements with Oracle mainly regarding the ownership of the "Hudson" name. The Hudson community has recently voted for the project to be renamed to Jenkins, so hudson-labs.org is now jenkins-ci.org ps. I actually started looking at Hudson because I was baffled at the fact that the success icon is "blue" rather than a more intuitive "green" and hey, there is a plugin for that: http://wiki.hudson-ci.org/display/HUDSON/Green+Balls -- View this message in context: http://forum.world.st/Hudson-now-Jenkins-tp3248782p3248782.html Sent from the Pharo Smalltalk mailing list archive at Nabble.com.

[Pharo-project] how to control the native window size and position
by Tudor Girba Jan. 31, 2011

Jan. 31, 2011

Hi, Is there a way to control the size and screen position of the parent window? I would need this for controlling the size of screencasts. I am particularly interested in a solution for Mac. Cheers, Doru -- www.tudorgirba.com "Some battles are better lost than fought."

[Pharo-project] Issue 3562 in pharo: Deferred UI messages executed slowly
by pharo＠googlecode.com Jan. 31, 2011

Jan. 31, 2011

Status: New Owner: ---- New issue 3562 by richi.mo...@gmail.com: Deferred UI messages executed slowly http://code.google.com/p/pharo/issues/detail?id=3562 Pharo1.2rc1 Latest update: #12313 Processing deferred ui messages seems to be really slow. You can test it by executing this: | rnd | rnd := Random new. 100 timesRepeat: [ WorldState addDeferredUIMessage: [ Morph new openInWorld; center: rnd next @ rnd next * Display extent. ] ]. You'll notice it takes a couple of seconds to finish opening all the morphs, but if you remove the #addDeferredUIMessage: send, it is instantaneous. In Squeak and Etoys both versions are equally fast. I think the bug is in WorldState>>#runStepsMethodsIn:. It seems it only executes one deferred ui message per step. With the implementation below the problem is fixed. WorldState>>#runStepMethodsIn: aWorld "Perform periodic activity inbetween event cycles" | queue nextInQueue| "If available dispatch some deferred UI Message" queue := self class deferredUIMessages. [(nextInQueue := queue nextOrNil) isNil] whileFalse: [ nextInQueue value]. self runLocalStepMethodsIn: aWorld.

Re: [Pharo-project] Issue 3627 in pharo: [Hudson] Update Number for Builds

Comment #1 on issue 3627 by marcus.d...@gmail.com: [Hudson] Update Number for Builds http://code.google.com/p/pharo/issues/detail?id=3627 In a second step, we should use the update number for the files, too (not the zip to keep a un-changing URL)
