Please, just try TWM now! It may not be the best, but it works and progresses. 2011/5/31 Torsten Bergmann <astares(a)gmx.de> > Igor Stasenko > >window manager can't prevents windows from clutter. > >the real solution is to change the workflow to not open that many windows. > > With more than 20 windows the TWM button from Laurents project is > useless since the tiled windows are too small... > This is not right now (earlier if it was), because now there are many ways of filter screens, even freeze the current size of the windows, which makes it very simple and quick way its re-organization. > > Yes - when working on two classes ... you typically open two windows, > then three, then more. [Pharo-project] [Hudson] News
by Marcus Denker May 31, 2011

May 31, 2011

Hudson News ------------------- -> The windows client makes progress (e.g. we found after lots of trying a RDC thningy that actually wanted to connect...) -> Version numbers. See Opal as an example (left side) https://pharo-ic.lille.inria.fr/hudson/job/Pharo%20OpalCompiler/ This way we always see which version was build. -> Linux build slave is offline this morning due to problems with the virtualization setup. Will be fixed soon. (it's amazing how bad it feels to have no CI after having it just for a couple of months... and for real just some weeks...) [Pharo-project] How to know 'real' extent of a PanelMorph
by Cyrille Delaunay May 31, 2011

May 31, 2011

Hello, I have a panelMorph composed by several row/columns with different kind of morphs. What I would like to know is, what is the extent / size that I should use to FULLY display this panel (without scrollbars). Each time I ask for the extent of a panelMorph, it answers 50@40, whatever what is inside. If you openInWorld you will have something very very small. Is there a way to retrieve an extent with which the panel morph will be 'well' displayed (without having scrollbars everywhere)? In other words, what I really want to know is: Given two panelMorph, is there a way to say that one need more place than the other to be displayed?
