Hi, Every window comes with a default menu. Most actions are useless or they can be found in the halo anyway. But, the window menu is not harmless: even if a window does have a specific set of actions (not just the default ones), the user is not informed because the same triangle appears in all windows. As an example, look at the Transcript and at the Workspace. The Transcript menu is useless, while the Workspace one is not. Glamour no longer offers this by default. Only if you have a window specific menu, you get it there. Like that when you see the triangle, you know it has a meaningful set of actions for you. Hi All, I've completed porting MethodWrappers to Squeak 4.2. You'll need to update your image to at least Compiler-eem.215 & Kernel-eem.623. You can find MethodWrappers4.2-eem.17 at http://www.squeaksource.com/MethodWrappers. Enjoy. P.S. Anyone in VW land interested in updating the codee? The class comments in VW are obsolete (valueNowOrOnUnwindDo: is mentioned instead of ensure: etc). If you do update the code you might want to add the tweak I did to MwBlockMethodWrapper>valueWithReceiver:arguments: to make both before and after blocks optional. i.e. MwBlockMethodWrapper methods for evaluating valueWithReceiver: anObject arguments: anArrayOfObjects "Optionally evaluate beforeBlock before evaluating clientMethod if beforeBlock is non-nil. I uploaded a modified PharoOneClick 1.3 app for Mac OS X, Linux and Windows to make it easier for others to test Zodiac, an as yet unfinished attempt at a better (secure) socket stream, in order to support HTTPS. This is a 40Mb download. The included VM contains the necessary native SSL plugins for each platform. The image itself was built as follows: ---- "Started with a standard Pharo One Click 1.3 #13306" Gofer it squeaksource: 'ZincHTTPComponents'; package: 'Zinc-HTTP'; package: 'Zinc-Tests'; package: 'Zinc-Patch-HTTPSocket'; load. Gofer it squeaksource: 'Zodiac'; package: 'Zodiac-Core'; package: 'Zodiac-Tests'; load. Gofer it squeaksource: 'ZincHTTPComponents'; package: 'Zinc-Zodiac'; load. "Note: all http(s) in the image will now go through Zodiac streams" "** Make sure to use a Mac OS X Cog VM with the SSL plugin **" "Run the units tests, or just try" ZnClient get: 'https://encrypted.google.com'. --- Normally, all tests pass on Mac OS X, on Linux #testGForceInria fails, on Windows additionally #testAmazonAWS and #testPayPal fail. But if Fuel provided a way to overlay application-specific code over the generic image, this way of binary deployment would be very convenient. Especially given the tablet's CPU is very slow, loading large mcz's from Monticello repos and compiling them may take terrible time. Thanks. Hi, I feel a need in as small as possible Pharo image (ideally script-buildable from e. g. PharoKernel) to use on Android as a setup/administration tool (I might just bundle it with CogDroid).
