Call for Participation in the Smalltalk Devroom at FOSDEM 2012. "A devroom for the Pharo, Squeak, GST, EtoilÃ©, Seaside, Moose Smalltalk projects. Smalltalk environments offer a very high development productivity, unmatched by their successors. Come do some pair programming with us and experience the advantages of a real OO environment." The meetup will take place Sunday, February 5, 2012, from 9AM until 5PM, room AW1.126. This room has 72 seats, a VGA video projector and wireless internet. More information will be available later. Proposals on content and format are welcome. People interested in running a session should announce that on the smalltalk-devroom mailing list, with the following information: - Their name - The project they are associated with - A short bio, to be put on the website along with their speaker name - (optionally) a picture of themselves - The title of their session (which will go on the website and in the booklet) - A abstract describing the session in further detail. - The desired length of the session. - The desired time slot in which they want to hold the session. Suggested values for the duration are 55min, 25min, 6m40 (Pecha Kucha). The desired time slot is meant to help you prevent conflicts with other dev rooms in which you might have a talk or your travel arrangements. The deadline for submissions is December 31, 23:00 GMT+1. Do you want it in the release? - All issues "NoSourcesAvailable" do have fixes, but described in wonderful prose. ("change the third character of the second line.." (nearly...). The idea here is that it's far far far far easier to look at things that one can just load in the system as opposed to solve a textual riddle first. yes, it's trivial... but it's amazing how the triviality between "machine readable code" and "textual description for a human to parse" changes how long an issue is not looked at. Hi, I am trying to handle pasting in a PluggableTextMorph, but there seems to be a problem induced by Keymapping. Consider the following simple case: morph := (PluggableTextMorph on: StringHolder new text: #contents accept: #acceptContents:) autoAccept: true; color: Color white; yourself. morph openInWindow In the regular Pharo image it behaves as expected: - If you type some text, it gets auto accepted (there is no orange triangle on the top right) - If you use Ctrl+v, it auto accepts - If you use Cmd+v (on Mac) or Alt+v (on Windows), it also auto accepts. When Keymapping is loaded we have a problem: - If you type some text, it gets auto accepted (there is no orange triangle on the top right) - If you use Ctrl+v, it auto accepts ===> But if you use Cmd+v (on Mac) or Alt+v (on Windows), the orange triangle appears. If you inspect the contents, indeed they are not updated. I tried to look into this, but I did not manage to get to the bottom of this. Can anyone help? Hi Guille, We recently added Keymapping to the Moose distribution (actually part of Glamour), but it seems that it breaks the image in subtle ways: - Ctrl+v and Cmd+v lead to different behaviour - pasting a piece of code leaves the cursor at the beginning of the pasted text Do you happen to have time to look into these? i am getting the following error when trying to install seaside in pharo using: Gofer new squeaksource: 'MetacelloRepository'; package: 'ConfigurationOfSeaside30'; load.
