Spotter feature request - fully defined Class>>method lookup

When I am reading Fogbugz issues, often there are method references using the common convention "MCDefinitionIndex>>#add: for a fully defined reference. It would be nice to be able to copy/paste that fully defined reference into Spotter and get delivered straight to that method. You might still list other implementors of the method, but the fully defined reference would be at the top, or somehow highlighted. I might get around to trying to code this myself, but I mention it in case it catches the interest of Spotter core team. cheers -ben

Create a user for jenkins

Hi All, I'd like to see some of the jenkins jobs of Pharo to have an idea how they were created, I don't have a user in jenkins and when I want to see the jobs as an anonymous user (read-only) jenkins throws an java.lang.NullPointerException error. How can I create a user? I only need a user to see how the jobs were created, I don't need to create or modify jobs. Thanks! SebastiÃ¡n Tleye

Nautilus groups

Hello, We would like to know if some of you use Nautilus groups functionality: dynamic groups: 'Last modified packages', 'Most viewed classes', 'Work' user defined groups : from the menu, you can flatten the content of many packages and get all classes into the newly created group. We have the feeling that it is not used (or not a lot) and we think to replace it with another mechanism (for example, let the user define his/her 'favorites' classes / packages). Thanks for the feedback.

Hi Thierry, Onil, First let me iterate what I wrote last week, the OSM stuff in Roassal is very cool, very well written. Great work. Since I have some experience with OSM maps, tiles and serving them, I had a look to see if I could optimise the tile drawing/loading, which is visibly a bit slow, one would assume because of the loading of the tiles over the network. Introduction of TROSMTileProvider to optimize getting OSM tiles, adds one shared memory cache and a local file system cache, predefines and reuses 6 http clients spread over different hosts. Modifies TROSMShape>>#getTile: and adds TROSMShape>>#tileNamed: === The strange thing is though, that I can optimise the loading (as benchmarked separately), but in most cases (not when they are in the memory cache, but when they are in the file cache) the drawing still has the same pauses as before - which I don't understand, at all. Parsing float difference between 2.0 and 3.0, was it on purpose?

Hi guys, In Pharo 2.0, the expression "Number readFrom: '2.5850009999999998e+04' " would answer 25850.01 , but in Pharo 3.0 it answers: 2.5850009999999997 which is a kind of WTF to me. Checking the differences it seems in Pharo 2.0 ExtendedNumberParser (used from Number >> readFrom: ) implemented: allowPlusSign ^true However, in Pharo 3.0 it seems subclasses of NumberParser have been merged directly in NumberParser class (and so Number >> readFrom: uses this class now). But.. (and this is the difference), NumberParser implements: allowPlusSign ^false So I wonder...was this on purpose or a side effect? Why would we want to reject using + as part of the exponential notion?? So in my case now I must do an override to: NumberParser >> allowPlusSignInExponent ^ true Thoughts? -- Mariano http://marianopeck.wordpress.com

Howto create a new configuration?

Hello, I fixed some issues for Athens and upload the changes to the repository. Now, I want to use Versionner to create a new configuration. What I tried: Open a fresh image Open the Athens repository and load the new changesets -> There are some merge conflicts. Why? There shouldn't be any conflicts. How do you do this? After merging the changes I open Versionner. I thought I have to make a new Release but the button "Release Version" is disabled. What did I miss? nicolai
