Metacello and #stable
by Andrei Chis June 1, 2015

June 1, 2015

Hi, If I specify a stable version for a platform (spec for: #'pharo3.x' version: '3.0.6'.), shouldn't Metacello load that version? Concrete use-case: loading ConfigurationOfMoose in Pharo 3 - ConfigurationOfMoose specifies version 5.0 as stable for Pharo 3 - ConfigurationOfMoose version 5.0 loads ConfigurationOfGlamour #stable - ConfigurationOfGlamour specifies version 3.0.6 as stable for Pharo 3 (spec for: #'pharo3.x' version: '3.0.6') Loading ConfigurationOfMoose [1] in Pharo 3 loads version 3.0.9 for ConfigurationOfGlamour. Updating Monticello leads to the same result. Did I misunderstood something about how monticello works? Any idea how to debug this? Cheers, Andrei [1] (ConfigurationOfMoose project version: #'stable') record loadDirective

DebugAction >> category
by stepharo June 1, 2015

June 1, 2015

Hi andrei and others we have DebugAction>>category ^ category ifNil: [ self defaultCategory ] DebugAction>>defaultCategory ^ nil And I tried to browse the senders by scoping the search to the Debugger* packages and I got no sender. I have no direct user either. So do you know if this is deadcode? Stef

SyntaxErrorNotification api question
by stepharo June 1, 2015

June 1, 2015

Hi marcus we SyntaxErrorNotification>>setClass: aClass category: aCategory code: codeString doitFlag: aBoolean errorMessage: errorString location: anInteger inClass := aClass. category := aCategory. code := codeString. doitFlag := aBoolean. messageText := errorString. location := anInteger and I wonder what is the category? I imagine that this is a method protocol more than a class category? I would like to add setClass: aClass protocol: aProtocol code: codeString doitFlag: aBoolean errorMessage: errorString location: anInteger inClass := aClass. category := aCategory. code := codeString. doitFlag := aBoolean. messageText := errorString. location := anInteger and keep the other as backward compatibility. monticello problems
by Esteban Lorenzano June 1, 2015

June 1, 2015

Hi, Iâm having a lot of problems with monticello lately. And it is not just the change of MCLazyVersionInfo (that affects just the history). Now, looks like packages are keeping their own private list of repositories. Look at the example: Notice the âAllâ selection. Now see with âPackageâ selected: And it is breaking not just my nerves, but a lot of tools, etc. So, I donât know it this was on purpose to avoid repositories pollution⦠but this is a bug or a bad change :) Can you confirm the problem? Esteban

I want to contribute to Athens/Morphic, but wondering where to start. Is there a feature list / roadmap somewhere? -- View this message in context: http://forum.world.st/Contributing-to-Athens-Morphic-tp4829670.html Sent from the Pharo Smalltalk Developers mailing list archive at Nabble.com.
