Combining Brick, Bloc, Glamour and Morphic

Hi, is it possible to combine Glamour bricks with the new Bricks? Namely I am looking for text field input and select box (drop box). There is GLMRubTextFieldBrick or RubTextFieldMorph however the GLM* seems to require some kind of special themer, and regular morphs fail on #isBrickedBloc (I also tried asBrick, however that returns GLMMorphBrick which also doesn't respond to #isBrickedBloc). So is it possible to combine it somehow, or do I have to wait until all the basic widgets are written in Bloc/Brick? Thanks, Peter

Unresponsive Bloc/Brick UI

Hi, I've been playing with the latest Brick tools, however after about a minute or two the UI always becomes completely unresponsive. I cannot move anything nor do anything. GLMPresentation and actions

Hi Glamour experts, There are methods in GLMPresentation like #act:icon:entitled: #act:icon:on:entitled: adding an action but (unfortunately) these methods do not return the action itself but the presentation instead. But the presentation itself is the receiver of the message so the sender already has access to it anyway. Not returning the created action makes it hard to access the action afterwards to send additional messages to it (like #condition: or other). One would have to implement a #act:icon:entitled:condition: and other flavours - ending up in a lot of method variations. Example: in CatalogBrowser>>defineAllRepositoriesInMCBrowserButton: I have access to the list (a presentation) and I can use #act:icon:entitled: to add an action button but have no access to the action added afterwards. Should we change these methods to return the action and also GLMPresentation>>#addAction: to return the action: addAction: anAction ^self actions addLast: anAction This way it would be similar to a collection: if you add an element you get it in return. IMHO this would prevent adding more and more "flavour" messages in the future. What do you think. Also: I would like the action buttons in CatalogBrowser to be only enabled when an item in the list (presentation) is selected. How can I do that? There is a #condition: for an action but that is the condition for the button to be there. There is no updating #enabledWhen: or other. Thanks T.

OSX code signing

What are the future plans for dealing with OSX code signing? I read [1] that "With the release of OS X 10.10 DP 5 and 10.9.5, Apple changed the code signing format, especially regarding these resource rules. [...] The main change is that now you cannot exclude resources from being signed. You used to be able to use a file called ResourceRules.plist inside of the signed bundle to specify files which should not be considered when checking if the seal of a bundle was broken. As of the version 2 code signing, this does not work anymore. All code and resources must be signed â no exceptions. " My question arises from reviewing PharoTour chapter in UPBE [2], where downloading the zip and running the app produces the dreaded {youApp} is an application downloaded from the Internet. Are you sure you want to open it?" Sure any aspiring programmer should know their way around this, but still its not very inviting. So if we can no longer store a writable Image under the Resources folder, what are the alternatives? 1. Deliver app with read-only Image under the Resources folder. The INI file can define the location of the writeable Image under ../{user}/Library/. When the VM starts, if the writable Image file does not exist, the VM transparently copies the read-only Image from resources to the writable location. 2. Use a launcher application like PharoLauncher. 3. [Playground] Getting contents from the cloud?
